Wedding days don’t always go exactly as planned… and that’s part of what makes them so memorable.

This couple had their hearts set on portraits at San Francisco City Hall. But when we arrived, they learned it’s closed on weekends unless you’ve made a reservation. Suddenly, what was supposed to be a smooth moment turned into a “what do we do now?” situation.

They were unsure about how to move forward, and time was ticking. That’s when I stepped in. I found a spot right across the street — framed by beautiful trees with golden sunlight streaming through. I guided them through a series of poses, kept the energy light, and together we created images that felt just as meaningful as their original plan.

In the end, they walked away with portraits they truly loved. 💍✨

That’s what I love about wedding photography — no matter what surprises the day brings, there’s always a way to capture something beautiful. Adapting, staying calm, and keeping couples focused on what matters most: celebrating their love.
