One of my favorite parts of filming Weddings is finding moments that feel cinematic.
This was one of those scenes with Kelli and Jaden, out in the middle of the orchard with nothing around them, except rows of trees and open space.
Sometimes moments like this happen naturally, and sometimes we create a little space for them to happen.
A quick dip, a kiss, and suddenly the whole setting comes together in a way that just feels right.
As a filmmaker, I’m always looking for that balance, guiding couples just enough to create something beautiful, while still leaving room for them to be themselves.
Because when you look back on your wedding years later, it’s not really about whether something was posed or candid.
It’s a about how the moment made you feel.
Do you tend to prefer the more staged moments or the completely candid ones?
