Meet Krista Lance š (hi, yes, thatās me)
My path to photography wasnāt exactly a straight line. I picked up my first [film] camera around age 10, studied Environmental Design at CU Boulder, worked as a landscape designer in Colorado, transitioned into commercial real estate marketing... and somehow ended up right back where that first seed was planted during my childhood: behind the lens.
Now Iām based in Santa Barbara, CA, shooting architecture, interiors, hospitality, and luxury real estate for the architects, designers, builders, and hospitality brands who trust me with their spaces.
Hereās the thing though, I donāt think a photo should just document a beautiful space. It should communicate the value of it and your services. My design background means Iām not just looking for whatās pretty, Iām thinking about materials, proportion, and craftsmanship, and how to translate all of that into an image that actually connects with the right person (ie. your future clients).
None of this happens alone. Huge thanks to my clients who trust me with their projects, my husband whoās basically my unofficial business partner and constant sounding board, and the SB community thatās welcomed me with warm hearts.
