sometimes we dream about what’s ahead…

the place we’ll live
the people we’ll share life with
the work we’ll do
the moments we’ll share
the home we’ll build with people we love…

and then life happens

the vision changes…
things are not what we expected

it’s okay to grieve
what we hoped for…

while still noticing
the joy of what’s happening
right now

because just like a sunset
never looks exactly the same twice

our lives unfold that way too:

🌬️ there are moments when we have to take a breath
🖼️ let go of what we pictured…
🙏 and trust what’s unfolding

because often…
the most beautiful parts of life
are the ones we never saw coming

unless you slow down enough to notice

fun footnote: founded in 1501 by the spanish monarchs as a royal hospital to treat the pilgrims,
the hostal dos reis católicos still welcomes people from around the world today…
just with more comfortable beds 😉
