Truck Crash – Side Swipe
I-205, Tracy, CA, June 2015. While slurping his breakfast cereal, a big rig driver drifted off the road and slammed into a car that was stalled on the freeway shoulder. All three occupants were severely injured, with the driver suffering from catastrophic spinal and vertebral damage.

Motorcycle Crash – Lane Change
Alameda County, CA, September 2017. On a busy freeway, a motorist changed lanes without indicating and without checking that the roadway was clear. As witnessed by the driver behind, he hit an adjacent motorcyclist causing the victim to crash and severely injure his foot. Multiple surgeries were required.

San Francisco, CA, February 2019. An Uber driver made a left turn without yielding to a scooter driver who had right of way. He drove headlong into the victim, causing multiple leg fractures, irreparable spinal damage and a pulmonary contusion.

Motorcycle Crash – Blind Intersection
San Rafael, CA, November 2015. The lack of landscaping maintenance at an intersection created unsafe conditions. Turning left to get out of traffic, a woman crossed into the path of a motorcyclist driving at the speed limit. The resulting crash left the victim in a coma for 8 weeks, with severe traumatic brain damage, multiple skeletal fractures and organ damage.

San Rafael, CA, May 2017. While exiting a coffee shop, a customer fell and fractured her right leg in two places. Construction codes had been ignored. There were no markings indicating the two steps down, and no handrails to aid visitors.
