It is with a great deal of sadness that I announce the passing of my good friend and Photographer Chuck Carroll.
Over the past 20+ years, Chuck partnered with me on many photographic projects, including many of my destination Photography workshops, including; most notably, Yosemite national Park . Chuck was with me for almost 20 trips to the park, and he would say he never tired of Yosemite because it was always changing and always different. Chuck was a member of our Photoclub here in Sun City Center, where he participated as a member, board, member and occasional instructor. He was a snowbird and also participated with his photo club in Pennsylvania, where he was also very active.
We work together on several projects, including PHOTO experience and adventures in Imaging.
Chuck’s passion was working for charity, not only here in central Florida, but also in Pennsylvania. It was at one of these PHOTO assignments that he suffered a fatal heart attack. I can honestly say that, although we are saddened by his passing, he was doing something he loved. His favorite charity for years was Suncoast charities for children, although he never met a charity he didn’t like and was willing to donate his time to work for.
he was a Rotarian participating here and at home and never missed a meeting.
He loved photographing cars and car shows and participated in cars in the park in support of local charities and many others.
Chuck will be greatly missed for his smiling face, kind attitude and always willing to help, give with joy to whoever would ask.
