After 2 years of patiently awaiting the opportunity and failing multiple times over and over again, I’ve finally got myself another completely authentic set of non photoshopped lightning photos! With I couldn’t be more grateful to have such a supportive girlfriend who encouraged me to stay out as long as I needed. (For almost 2 hours) We watched as the storm rolled in. It wasn’t very active but some signs pointed that it could be one, but very spectacular! So we waited. Finally after the wind, rain, and cold had passed over I thought for sure I failed… It went dead silent with nothing to deliver for almost 30min. I called it a night, ready to go home, I walked up to the car to load up and leave, when suddenly… BOOM! The neighboring mountain range was lit up in a catastrophic strike that made the two of us flinch… it was at that point I knew that I needed to get back out there, recompose the shot and wait for the likelihood of another shot… What I caught from that point on is what you see before you. 3 incredible shots. Just one of which I’ve been after for the past 2 years. And I couldn’t be more happy with what I ended up with… until next time Mother Nature! 💙⚡️Behind the scenes coming soon!
