The little things matter more than you think.
When you come into the studio for your family session, I’ll often encourage you to bring something your child is completely in love with right now.
Their favorite stuffy.
The book you read every night.
The toy that goes everywhere with them.
Because years from now, when you see that little object tucked into the pages of your family album, it won’t just remind you of what they loved.
It will bring back the stories that went along with it.
You’ll remember how that stuffy went everywhere. How you read that book night after night. How that little toy was their absolute favorite.
These are some of my favorite images to include in the family album we design together because they preserve more than what your family looked like—they preserve who they were in that season of life.
So bring the stuffy. Bring the book. Bring the favorite toy.
One day, those little things may be long gone, but their story will still be there in the pages of your album—waiting to be looked at, remembered, and retold.
