β¨ A little maternity leave update β¨
It feels a little surreal to be sharing my own maternity photos after spending so many years behind the camera capturing these seasons for everyone else. π₯Ήπ€
Our baby girl will be here within 3 weeks, and with that, itβs almost time for me to trade editing galleries, answering messages, and running around with my camera for newborn snuggles, sleepless nights, and soaking in this chapter with my family. π
I will officially begin maternity leave on October 1st, as we prepare to welcome our sweet girl!
With the studio still under construction after everything that happened earlier this year, Iβve decided not to rush this season. Instead, Iβm going to use whatever time Iβm given to soak up those tiny, fresh newborn moments, focus on healing and recovering after delivery, and adjust to having a baby in our home again after an entire decade. π₯Ή
There will always be another session to photograph, another gallery to edit, and another busy season waiting for me β but she will only be this little once. π€
As construction progresses, Iβll continue sharing updates here about the studio and when Iβll officially be able to welcome clients back into the space for sessions again. I am SO excited for the day I get to reopen those doors and show you what weβve been working on, but for now, my biggest project is almost here. π
If you already have something booked with me, donβt worry, anything currently on my calendar has been planned around my leave, and Iβll communicate directly with clients as needed. My response times may also become a little slower as we get closer to baby girlβs arrival and throughout my leave, and I appreciate your patience and grace more than you know.
This year has thrown more at my little business and my family than I ever could have anticipated, but it has also given us something we have waited and prayed so long for.
After years of photographing motherhood in all of its beautiful stages, I finally get to step away from behind the camera for a little while and simply live it myself.
Thank you to every single person who has continued to support Hannah Mae Creations through all of the craziness, changes, construction, and everything in between. This little business means the world to me, but Iβm incredibly grateful that it also allows me to make room for the moments that matter most.
For now, we count down the days until our girl is finally in our arms. π₯Ήππ€
And when the time is right, Iβll pick that camera back up again. πΈ
