Sorry in advance for the long post BUTTTT I wanted to do a little September check in because somehow we are already here 🤣🤍

September has filled up SO much more than I expected and I am seriously so grateful for every single person who has trusted me with their memories lately.

At this point, I only have 3 weekend openings left for September:
• Sunday, Sept. 20 — evening
• Saturday, Sept. 26 — evening
• Sunday, Sept. 27 — morning

I also have limited weekday availability left, and October is already booking up quickly too, so if you’ve been thinking about getting on my calendar… now is definitely the time!

I’ll also officially be OUT OF OFFICE Sept. 13–18 because FINALLY it is my turn to be on vacation 😂🌴 Any galleries scheduled for delivery during that time will still be delivered on schedule! My response times will just be a little slower because I truly want to take some much-deserved time away from the screen, relax, and catch up on my books for a few days. I’ll be getting back to all messages + emails no later than that weekend!

Alsoooo a few mini session reminders while I have you here 👀

My Summer Coastal Minis (Savannah + Tybee) are available to book through Sept. 10! Your session does not have to take place by then, as long as you book by Sept. 10, you can use that mini for any available date through the end of 2026.

I’ll also have promo photos for my Studio + Beach Christmas Minis later this month, and spots are already starting to book!! 🎄

AND for my Atlanta people… I’ll only be offering TWO days of Christmas Minis in Atlanta this year:
Saturday, November 7 + Tuesday, November 24

I’ll be announcing all of the Atlanta details soon, so definitely keep an eye out if you’ve been waiting for those dates 🤍

Basically… September is BUSY, October is filling, Christmas is coming, and I am very excited to disappear with a book for a few days.

I know I already shared this a couple days ago, but I’m sharing it again because this one really does mean so much to me. 🥹

Every family who has trusted me with their babies, their growing families, their vacations, milestones, messy toddler chaos, and all of the little moments in between has helped me build GEM Photo into what it is today.

An anniversary session that ended exactly how every Tybee session should… barefoot, soaking wet, and laughing in the ocean.

These two were SO much fun to photograph. Between the way they look at each other, that soft pink sky, and deciding to fully commit to getting in the water at the end, I could’ve photographed them all night.

Anniversary photos don’t have to feel overly posed or formal. Come hang out, love on each other, get a little sandy, + maybe let the ocean completely take you out 🤍😝

The Tabor family 🤍

We started this session at Jaycee Park, waited about 10 minutes for Mother Nature to get the rain out of her system, + then spent some time under the oak trees before heading over to the beach for sunset.

And I’m just here to say… some of the BEST Tybee sunsets happen right after it rains.

The waves were showing OUT, every direction we turned the sky had a completely different color, + by the end the boys were soaking wet and having the time of their lives 😂

This session is also the perfect example of why I love adding a little extra time + a second location to your family session. We got the oak trees, Spanish moss, greenery, + all of those fun in-between moments at the park… then headed to the beach and got an entirely different look without needing another session.

So if you really want to make the most out of your portraits — add the extra time. Add the second location. Let the kids play. Get in the water. We can do A LOT with one evening 🤍
