Continuing with Behind the Photo series: 2 years ago I broke my left foot the day of a concert. At the time I didn't know my foot was actually broken so I just wrapped it up, put it in a boot, and learned how to use crutches. Nothing is gonna stop me from seeing a concert.
Evening rolls around, I drive an hour to get to Savannah. I'm getting that pre show buzz. The one you get when you listen to the band you're about to see in the car. The lineup was Eyes Set to Kill, Fever 333, and Nothing More. So I arrive at the Stage on Bay, crutch my way inside and find a spot in the crowd. Now I was fully prepared to stand with my crutches the whole time. HOWEVER, after the 2 opening acts these people at the concert let me scoot forward closer to the stage(I guess because they saw me kinda struggling to take pictures and balance myself) Then they insisted on getting me a chair. I said I was ok but these nice people got security to get me a chair to sit and watch the show on the side of the stage. Thus giving me an opportunity to take this amazing picture and more. I couldn't believe it. I like lost my s**t during "Go to War" and "Don't Stop." Afterwards the security guard told me he thought I was going to break my neck from headbanging so hard.😄
As I hobbled out of the venue, some nice man carried me on his back to my car. I proceeded to scream to myself in my car trying to figure out what this whole day was. I ate cold McDonalds french fries and drove home to take this picture of myself.
A week later I went to the doctor and they said you broke 1 bone in your foot. Speaking of things I couldn't believe, I can't believe I broke a bone from getting off of my bathroom counter(because I used to sit there doing my makeup) and my foot was still asleep. As I got down, I took 2 steps and rolled my left foot. I had to wear a boot for a long time. That's the uncool side of this story.
