I hope everyone had an opportunity to get out to the Scottdale Volunteer Fire Department Official Fair this past week. Every evening was highlighted by brightly colored lights, smiles, and fun activities. Huge thanks to our Firemen, our Police, and our community. Please enjoy these few photos I took Friday evening.

Scottdale Volunteer Fire Department Official Fair and Parade last evening. All the trucks were shined up and looking great. The fair was full of bright colors and kids enjoying the rides.

This week I am celebrating some of my best photos from the Southmoreland Middle School 2025 Football Season. This team defied the odds and showed their grit by going all the way to the Championship game. Thank you for taking a moment to relive some of the moments of this great team. I am looking forward to another great season in 2026.

I had the privilege of shooting SAMFA - Southmoreland Area Midget Football Association on the field for the first time last season.

Thank you to my new friend, Leroy Grafton for mentoring me, to Kelly Sigwalt Imel for inspiring me, and to the many players, coaches, parents, Brian Pritts Southmoreland High School Athletics, Cody Daniels, Coach Brian Bahr, and Coach Dustin Shoaf for their support and appreciation of my work.

That being said, I am looking forward to the coming season of SAMFA, Southmoreland Middle School Football, Southmoreland Scottie Varsity Football, and Scotties JV Football.

My goal this coming season is to increase the quality and expand the visibilty of my work. I am also planning to create digital player posters and other media for players and parents to enjoy and use.

I am looking forward to working with all of you for many years to come. Let me know if you have any photographic or multimedia ideas that you would like to see for our players and teams.

I have attached a few of my favorite SAMFA photos from last season just to hold us all over until practice starts this summer!

In the coming weeks, I will post some favorites from Middle School Football, JV Football, and Varsity Football.

Saturday was the Southmoreland Youth Football Camp. Hosted by Varsity Coach Shoaf and members of his staff and team. All participants had a great time. Friday night was the Meet and Greet with Kelly Sigwalt Imel, LAPC and her new Counseling Office in the Scottdale Borough Building. Borough Officials, Scottdale Police, PIPPY POP , Live 4 Tomorrow Today, Keystone Christian Counseling, The Daily Courier, Heather Wishart and Sassy Sips were all in attendance.

For those that could not attend, here are some photos of the space and the activities from Friday.

The Scotties Basketball season ends with a battle against Ligonier Valley. The camera doesn't lie, it was a BATTLE. Our boys played 4 playoff games while most others did not even qualify. That is something to be proud of. Hold your heads high boys.

Down but not out. Mohawk tops the Scotties Monday 2/23/26. Scotties meet Ligonier Valley at home Wednesday 2/25/26 with a trip to the PIAA tournament on the line. Let's go boys!
