Children are messy, silly, curious, unpredictable, challenging, distracting, all-consuming, and at times overwhelming. But they’re such a gift, and their unquenchable childhood joy won’t last forever. Neither will these moments. For you, or for them.

If you’re able to this holiday season, stop for a second. And take them in, in full presence. Play with them and just listen to them… I really think they’re some of the wisest among us. Stop long enough to lean into their magic, their wisdom, and their joy this Christmas.

And as I wrap up this first (half) year of business at House of Felix, I’m filled with so much gratitude for the chance to witness, and capture the moments of joy, curiosity, and wonder of your little ones. Thank you for sharing them with me.

And thank you to Michael Rabb for this gorgeous song, and many of the songs I use on my reels. You’re brilliant. Thank you to my amazing assistants who have brought an additional layer of joy, creativity, and connection to every session. And Allie for helping at various pivotal points to help manage projects and processes more efficiently. And my editor Ahmed who does incredible work and is patient with me and all of my particular requests. :)

As I wrap up the year, I can’t believe this is some of the work I’ve been able to participate in — celebrating and capturing the magic of childhood. And I can’t believe I get to do it with and for such fabulous humans. So thank you. All of you. And Merry Christmas. 🎄

The wellbeing of children is so important to me. Kids don’t have a choice. Us adults? We have choices, agency, power. Some grownups have been handed difficult decks to deal with, which often stems from difficult childhoods, but all adults still have more power than the little ones.

On and off throughout the years, I have found ways to give back to those that have less power and agency than most, the little ones. And now, at House Of Felix, a portion of the income from sessions goes to Save The Children — they’re doing such incredible work around the world. And when I talked with friends who have worked directly with their organization on and off the field, they have a great reputation of doing really good work in a number of different areas around the world.

On this “Giving Tuesday,” I encourage you to give to , or any other organization that is making change for the better in the world because as we all know the world could use more good.

Darling little Kora, on her family’s farm her great grandpa and grandma grew into a beautiful place rich with memories.

Grateful for a week devoted to giving thanks. Reminding us to look back and see all that had transpired in life, loss, the beautiful, the ugly. My parents really taught me (through example) that it really does help to be grateful for everything. Even the hard hard.

If you have a minute to pause, and take a deep breath, and think of three things you’re grateful for, the day might feel just a little brighter. Even if it feels dreary at the moment. ✨

Hello! I could use your help. The ‘doors’ at House of Felix have been officially open for almost six months now, and in that time we have welcomed in numerous little ones, and their grownups for sessions telling all different stories and capturing a number of magical moments. It’s all been a delight and I look forward to even more imaginative sessions, and quality connections.

But I could use your help… I’ve been dreaming up an offering for children’s brands and boutiques, which I’m calling “Four Seasons of Storytelling,” for a pilot program in 2026. The partnership will include four sessions featuring different seasons and seasonal pieces, and it also includes pre-prepared social media content. I think this will serve businesses by saving them time on planning out campaigns and marketing content, and I look forward to connecting with the right businesses to build quality partnerships.

I’ve reached out to some of my favorite brands and boutiques, but I’d love to connect with even more. Do you have a favorite children’s brand or boutique you think would be a good fit for this collaboration with House of Felix? They can be anywhere in the world, and make or sell anything from clothing, to toys, to books, to art. If so, it would be wonderful if you could tag them here, so they can be aware of this offering, and then I can reach out and connect with them directly. Or, you can DM me the brand! Meet the Wolfpack. Two beautiful families that are close to inseparable, sharing soccer Saturdays, family holidays, and other mundane and magical moments.

I loved playing with and photographing them, particularly when the kids all cut loose and pretended like they were going off on an adventure on this rickety old boat. It was a bit of a ‘Lord of the Flies’ moment where the kids were running the show. It was chaos, and I loved it. :)

And their parents? They’re saints. They are such supportive, loving, and patient people raising some equally fabulous humans. Cheers to the Wolfpack. ✨
