I have always had a passion for photography. Yep, that was me… the one pointing a camera in everyone’s face. At parties, on trips or just to experiment with perception, contrast, and texture. In my twenties, I decided to take it to the next level. Almost 2 decades of experience ago, I began my career by learning to see the world through the lens of fine art. I remember the sense of adventure, stan
ding in the dark, inhaling the chemicals while eagerly waiting for the image, that took a great deal of time and practice, to come to life. Then, voilà the patience paid off and the picture that was so carefully captured was staring right back at me. How magical that experience was! Amanda Hovey began her photography career in LA, CA continuing on to study Fine Art Photography through PCNW, Seattle over 22 yrs ago. Traveling through life, her passion has led her towards, accepting awards, running her own studio, international opportunities, creative collaborating, and personal flexibility. She resides with her family in Southwest Austin, TX, and continues in her adventurous ways by reflecting one’s zest for life through fine art photography and custom graphic design work.
