I don't post on Facebook as often as I do on Instagram but a number of my Facebook-only friends have asked about my trip to Kenya this past August so I'm going to share a few stories and images from my journey.
The first is from a balloon ride over the Mara (Maasai Mara National Park). I didn't think it would be as amazing as it was. I had to get up much earlier than I wanted; it had rained the night before so we didn't know if there would be much of a sunrise; I'm a bit scared of heights.
But it turned out to be a highlight of my trip. The balloon was so quiet and to see the Mara valley and its inhabitants from this perspective is something I'll never forget.
