“In the presence of the Joshua Tree, one cannot help but feel a profound connection to the natural world. Its timeless presence reminds us of the importance of preserving and cherishing our planet.” – John Muir

This is my newest print from my national park series, Joshua Tree National Park #2. I caught these trees as I was on my way through the park in February of 2021 close to sunset. The spectacular trees reminded me of something from a Dr. Seuss book, and I had to stop to capture their beautiful in the landscape, bathed in beautiful light.

Available for purchase as a 9” × 11” print on 11” × 14” paper at http://platinumpalladiumprinting.com

My birthday is in early February. Living in Seattle, my partner and I like to take my birthday as an opportunity to venture somewhere warm and sunny. This year, we chose to go to Phoenix, with my plans to make photographs to print in all three of Arizona’s National Parks; Saguaro NP, Grand Canyon NP, and Petrified Forest NP.

My partner laughed at me after I stopped at the first 4 marked viewpoints and tried to promise him I wouldn’t stop at every view. But this landscape was so different than our lush mountains and forests in the PNW, and I was completely captivated by the beauty.

This image is of a huge and quite regal Saguaro towering against a deep blue sky. This print is 9x12 on 11x15 paper and is available on my website at http://platinumpalladiumprinting.com

New Print available on my new web-store! Link in bio.

This platinum palladium print is from an image I took on a hike in Mt Rainier National Park on an August morning. I can still smell the freshness of the air and feel the hydration of the mist on my face. The serenity of the moment stays with me, and looking at this image brings me a sense of peace.

This image was taken in one of my favorite outdoor experiences; exploring the Monteverdi Cloud Forest Reserve in Abangares, Costa Rica.

At 4,364’ above sea level, you are quite literally exploring amongst the clouds and breathing in the life-giving water in the jungles of Central America. The air is incredibly fresh and cool, and the plants are dripping the condensation of collected cloud water, even when not raining.

I made this image of wood ferns while on that hike and loved how the textures of the plants and the contrast of the shiny leaves worked in black and white. This was made with a Leica M11 Monochrom and the Leica 50mm APO-Summicron-M.

Most of my images in nature are around my home in the Seattle, which is about as dry as the inside of a raindrop.

For my wintertime birthday in 2022, my boyfriend and I went to Palm Springs to soak up some sun. Part of that time was a trip to Joshua Tree National Park, which was gorgeous and shockingly cold. We were in shorts and freezing in 35º temperatures when I was taking this photo; but art is pain, right?

I loved this environment and how beautifully and strikingly contrasts the lush beauty of the woods and waterfalls of the Puget Sound.

This Platinum Palladium print is 9×12” on 11×14” Hahnemühle Platinum Rag Paper. It was taken in Joshua Tree National Park in February of 2022 on a Fuji GFX 50-R and 45mm f/2.8 lens.

It is $300 and ready for purchase!

Spring Cherry Blossoms in Platinum Palladium.

I took this photo in the Spring of 2024 while visiting the University of Washington campus. I particularly love the symbolism of the spring cherry blossom; dependably beautiful for just a few short weeks, they remind us to stop and savour the sweet moments in life, for their beauty will not last forever.
