A look behind the scenes of the dedication, training, and relationships that make these K-9 teams so special.

I had the opportunity to spend three days alongside the Treasure Coast Police K-9 Alliance, documenting the people, dogs, and purpose behind the work they do.

I'm grateful for the friendships made, the stories shared, and the opportunity to bring a little of that experience to life through film.

I also learned that when a 90-pound German Shepherd comes charging toward your camera, and a trainer tells you to stand perfectly still, you stand perfectly still.

There’s a calm confidence in the way Antonio “Sleepy” Gordon works.

Throughout the Treasure Coast Police K-9 Alliance Police K-9 Alliance Handler Workshop, Sleepy brought a steady presence, a wealth of experience, and a genuine willingness to share what he knows. Humble, generous with his time, and always willing to step in and help.

A little throwback today.

About a year ago, Gianna’s Pizzeria Gianna’s Pizzeria gave me the opportunity to come in with my camera and photograph their restaurant. I was still pretty early in figuring out exactly what I wanted Rock River Creative to become.

This ended up being my favorite image from that day, and a year later, it’s still one of my favorites.

A lot has changed since then, but one thing really hasn’t. I still love using photo and video to capture people doing what they do and tell the stories of the businesses and communities around us.

Really grateful to Gianna’s for opening their doors to me early on and giving me an opportunity to learn, create, and grow.

Now go order some garlic knots!

Decoys will save the camera operator. Thank you Danny Forester for having my back!
