A caracara is a bold, highly intelligent raptor often described as a “falcon with the attitude of a vulture,” known for walking around on the ground as much as it flies. They’re famous for their problem-solving skills, scavenging talents, and the uncanny ability to show up exactly where you don’t expect a bird of prey to be. Just outside of Seguin.

🌟🐾 Life on Our Little Ranch in Seguin, Texas 🐾🌟

Out here on our small ranch just outside of Seguin, TX, every day feels like opening a surprise gift 🎁. Our trail cams capture the most amazing visitors:
🦌 Deer • 🦉 Owls • 🦝 Raccoons • 🐺 Coyotes • 🦃 Turkeys • 🐖 Wild hogs • 🐾 Bobcats • 🐇 Rabbits • 🐿️ Squirrels • 🦨 Skunks • 🦦 Opossums • 🦔 Armadillos… and more! 🌙✨

But the biggest surprise ever happened on the very first day we set up our trail cams 🎥.
Instead of a wild critter, the cameras caught two tiny, helpless puppies 🐶🐶 that had been dumped on our property. They were so lucky 🍀 to be found before the predators we routinely see could have gotten to them.

What started as a heartbreaking find 💔 turned into one of the greatest blessings ❤️. Those pups are now happy, healthy, and precious members of our family 🏡🐕 — rescued exactly one year ago today, Sept 17, 2024 🎉.

Every time we check the footage, we’re reminded how much beauty 🌾, wonder 🌙, and second chances 💞 are waiting in the Texas wild. And sharing these moments with YOU makes it even more special.
