⭐️Attention all past & current clients: in the spirit of love, Valentine’s Day and to honor loyalty, something that I do not take lightly, I have something for you. ❤️ Over the past 18 years in business, I have photographed a lot, a lot of really wonderful people. If you’re one of them and you’re reading this right now, I know you’ve felt my love for you. I still think about each of you often even if we haven’t seen each other in quite some time (or just last year). So for 1 week only, I am offering something to you (any past or current client of any kind), and something even bigger to you & a friend/family member! This is special, something that I’ve only offered once before in 2024 and it booked up in just a few short days! ❤️ This is to show my deep appreciation for your loyalty. If you know you’ll want quality, genuine, authentic, updated photos of you or someone you love in 2026- families, anniversaries, newborns, extended families, high school seniors, weddings, engagement, bo***ir, or mini sessions, this is the ONLY time my services are discounted. Email or text for details. Offer ends at 11:59pm on February 21st. Location: anywhere! 💕 The 2026 books are now open for the entire year! Gather your people, pick your date. If we’re talking about 2016, let’s talk about 2016 in a collection of images that I created that live in my forever favorites folder on my phone. These people, these places, these STORIES, and these opportunities… I will never take them for granted. 💕

2016: I remember it best as a year that I was challenged significantly, I also felt major peace, and I grew (literally, see the last pic from my WILDEST doubleheader wedding weekend of my life… I promise to write about this next because it’s actually probably one for the books 😳). Risks are what make dreams come true. ✨

When I was a kid, and again when I was in college, I used to have my bedroom mirror lined with what people these days call vision boards- photo strips of relationships I always wanted to keep, magazine clippings of quotes and words that spoke to me, concert tickets from nights I never wanted to forget… things, people and places that made me, me… things that naturally reminded me to love my life.

I just want to remind you this morning, whatever decisions you make for your life, it’s your life. It’s yours to fall in love with. It’s not too late, and I believe that we always know what we need to do to get there. We don’t focus on the negativity, short comings, or things that didn’t work out. We focus inward and clear space to be our best selves. We believe in ourselves, and we attract goodness. ✨

Maybe a vision board on your bedroom mirror will help you get started. I think that I’m adding to mine. Where are my people? Who else had the taped up mirrors? Happy Monday morning Friends, may we choose to be in love with our lives, and may that goodness inspire others to do the same. ❤️

This one is personal. These are my own babies. It's hard to believe I ever grew them now. They're each their own wonderful kind of magic, and as all kids do, they're growing up so fast. It's hard to grasp, it's tricky to stop and appreciate the now, and it's freaking fleeting; slipping away. Where I'm at with her- well, she'd tell me not to post that expression of her on the internet (I personally wonder if I'm doing right by posting at all), but it shows you her age and where she's at. She's still the biggest lover, I mean, look how she's snuggling that little brother. Yesterday in the truck on our drive home from sports practice, her voice said to me from the backseat, "It's all hope, heart and crossed fingers." I asked if she was talking about dance or hockey, her boyfriend, or what, and she said, "Everything. It's all hope, heart and crossed fingers." I think I may actually need that tattoo. She's my magic. She really is. She inspires me and always has. Just a pure heart. Baby number two... don't we all know the sayings are all true about that one! Ha! He's got my heart, he's got me wrapped around his finger. He knows he's the love of my life, and he hears it often. That boy is full sweetness. He talks sweet, he jumps off things sweetly, he builds legos and makes signs and character cut outs sweetly, he says, "Awww you're the best." a million times each week. I hope he never, ever loses that sweet innocent heart. He's the best snuggler, but I will admit, I woke up with his little feet in my tailbone several times this morning, which somehow left my chest aching and it was definitely due to that sneaky bed hog. Still, these are the days, this is what matters. These are my babies, and this is my reason for wanting to fall in love with my work and my clients' stories, because they are watching. They are learning what it means to pour into something you care about every late night at the desk, every weekend that I'm traveling to weddings, they see their mom pouring into her craft. I want them to know nothing comes easy (and if it does, you probably don't want it anyway), and it's worth it to love hard with everything you do, and everyone you meet. Why the hell not? What's the point if you don't let yourself fall in love with it all? xo, Kate

I really don't think it's hard to see why I love Macy and Mason, or why I wanted to double date to the next country concert with them! :) They're simply amazing, and this is just a glance at our engagement session together.

Shot on sony with canon 50 1.2 lens and I really love that vintage filmy magic mixed with a little natural sun flare that shines through in many of the images, thankful to make this art.

His dedication to her speaks for itself, and not just at the altar, and it leaves me very moved. I hope everyone gets to experience this kind of love, I really do.

✨Give me all the disco balls, the warm glow of hundreds of candles, a couple who lives for the simpler, cozier, more meaningful things in life, the couple who would rather spend a night in snuggling and reading books to their baby girl than head to a bar, the couple who has each other’s backs truly in all things. Give me Kyler and Addison on repeat, please! This day left my whole heart mushy and full, and reeling for ways to capture it in all its depth. It was the happiest, most romantic New Year’s Eve celebration at Crescent Ballroom at Stubborn Brothers Brewery with these newlyweds that have been dear to my heart for years. ✨ A few fun photos I snagged on my phone and a little more vow footage coming up next…

These vows! Addison promising to always take Kyler just as he is… on New Year’s Eve in front of their 1 year old baby girl Rowyn, with Ky’s sister officiating their ceremony and just after their wedding rings were passed to each guest to bless. Tear.Fest.

It’s a new year.
And I am changing.
(Thank God)

I recently read something that said, “Dear 2025, Goodbye to whatever the hell that was…” and honestly, honestly… that was my 2024 experience- and I learned A LOT from it, but this past year was a little more gentle, a little more chaotic in some ways, but still full of the good stuff, and… I didn’t hate it.

New Year’s Eve. I’ve always really loved it, and the day 1 that follows because we are all given this fresh new start. How beautiful… A chance to close a chapter, to reevaluate ourselves, to reflect on what we just lived through and decide if we want to make different choices, or stay the same. When we choose to break down our walls, remove the pieces that weigh us down, get out of our own way, and speak openly and confidently from our heart, we really do open ourselves up to new opportunities. I personally like the sound of that. And I can feel myself changing and being open to what may come in this next year.

“Everyone knows it REALLY begins on the first *Monday in January, not January 1st,” I heard the host on my favorite XM station saying, and I’ll go with that. It’s the first Monday of the year and I’m here for it.

Sharing a little look at my gorgeous friends’ Addi & Kyler’s New Year’s Eve wedding in a minute, complete with video (I am not video, so take it for what it’s worth, it was too good. I had to record through my tears! 😭)

Happy 2026 to you, thank you for being here with me! Cheers to CHANGING. Cheers to you even if you want to stay the same. In the words of my best friend, “You do you, boo.” But me doing me in 2026 means me being here and being raw. Because THAT is who I am. Not a disappearing, overthinking (ok, guilty), afraid to put myself (and my work- we are two in the same and that’s a story for another day) out there person. Thank you to those who’ve loved me regardless, but I’d like to apologize for being a little distant on this journey. If I get quiet, I welcome the gentle reminder that it’s okay to show up a little messy, even if it’s not until 11pm, or even if it’s just one photo or just one word (that is a challenge I’d fail miserably) sometimes. I don’t know if I actually believe that statement in my soul, but I do welcome it. ❤️ I’m grateful. I’m ready.
xo, Kate
