The right art doesn’t just fill a space—it brings it to life. What do you think of “LILY PAD STARS”?

On a quiet, foggy morning up in western Massachusetts at McLeod Pond, I photographed an array of lily pads and leaves on the still waters. The reflection in this one was so perfect I accidentally turned it upside-down and then realized by doing so the pads and leaves looked like they were floating in the night sky.

“CARNELIAN SHAMAN - TSAVORITE, RUBELLITE”

One of my favorite treasures from the Rock River in Southern VT is the occasional Carnelian Agate. Carnelian in VT is rare and here it is usually associated with red serpentinite. Ranging from orange to yellow to red, even more rarely it comes in very narrow slices with a druzy crystal formation on the backside. I have only found 4 pieces like this in 40 years of collecting. To honor its unusualness, I set another unusual stone in the heart area, Tsavorite (Green Garnet); then on the druzy side I set a small Red Tourmaline (Rubellite). This talisman will help align your life force energy with heartfelt and healing activities.

“ORANGE TRIANGLE - KYANITE”

Quartzite in W. Mass. can come in every color of the rainbow. This piece had two layers: orange and white. This combination implies utilizing the strength of the second chakra (Orange: connection, relationships, intimacy, sensuality, creativity) for manifesting the highest healing path (White: Crown chakra, spiritual connection, life force, transcendence). Inside the orange triangle is a Blue Kyanite, a stone of compassion and communication. The circle in the triangle is an ancient symbol representing the sacred heart and the power of love and commitment.

Pictured: “FACTORY BUTTE”

Named for its appearance, this commanding butte stands high above the surrounding plateau in Utah. The sky to earth color contrast is what caught my eye the most. What I didn't realize is that all of these small hills and washes contained selenite crystals (gypsum), which when polished are beautifully clear and smooth.
