She was assembled in Charlotte North Carolina sometime after June of 1931 . The engine date code shows May of 31

Well , to say she is temperamental is an understatement. After my surgery, the ol gal didn't have spark again. A whole lot of tinkering in the last 2 days ......Back on the road !!

Traci and I spent most of the afternoon working on Gerty-Grace yesterday . We have no spark ,so she won't run . Following Paul Shinn's video instructions, we did a complete electrical checkup . This process is quite involved . Multimeter and Test Light in hand we went through every connection from the battery to the distributor. We had the floorboard out , the dash panel off ,and the distributor taken down to its components. Everything was in spec . Timing was rechecked /set . Still no spark . The last item checked was the coil wire ....Bingo ! Multi Meter shows it was bad . I will pick up a new one ( or maybe 3 ) today . Hopefully this will take care of it !!

Well ,today I did just as Paul advised I fixed the tiny carack in the water jacket with JB Weld
