Gorrión—his name means sparrow in Spanish—stood bathed in the last golden light of the day. The sunlight caught the dust of his movement, wrapping him in a glow that no studio could ever recreate. Then he became still, and in that moment his kind eye told the story of a stallion who has lived, learned, and carried the quiet confidence of his 22 years.

Day 1 in Poland was everything I had hoped for… and so much more.

Some souls are simply meant to find one another.
Perhaps that's why certain relationships feel as though they existed long before we ever met... and will continue long after our footprints have faded from this earth.
There is a quiet language shared between a horse and the one who loves them. It isn't spoken through words, but through trust, patience, gentle glances, and countless ordinary moments that somehow become extraordinary.
Watching Kait beside Zena, I couldn't help but wonder if this is what heaven might feel like—not a place of endings, but of perfect peace... where every heart knows it is home.
Until then, we are given this gift: today.
One more nuzzle.
One more walk together.
One more sunset.
One more photograph to hold onto when memories become our greatest treasure.
Love like this leaves hoofprints that time can never erase.

Some photographs are beautiful.

Others become priceless.

The beauty of photography is that it captures a single moment in time. Sometimes that moment documents history, culture, or world events. Other times, it quietly preserves something far more personal.

Love.

Trust.

A bond that words could never fully describe.

This portrait of Catie and the love of her life is one of those images.

Today, this photograph carries even greater meaning because her beloved partner is no longer here. What was once simply a beautiful portrait has become a treasured reminder of a relationship that can never be recreated, only remembered.

That is why I believe so deeply in creating timeless portraits.

Not because they’re trendy.
Not because they’ll earn likes on social media.

But because one day they become part of your family’s story.

When those images are printed with museum quality craftsmanship and displayed where they can be seen every day, they become more than photographs. They become heirlooms. They invite memories, conversations, laughter, and sometimes tears. They remind us that love leaves footprints long after the moment has passed.

Some places leave footprints on your soul.

A year ago, I stood in the Polish countryside surrounded by extraordinary horses, breathtaking landscapes, and people whose kindness made me feel at home half a world away. It was more than a photography trip. It was an experience that changed me.

Now, in less than a month, I have the incredible privilege of returning to do it all over again. I can’t wait to see familiar faces, discover new stories, and once again chase the moments that only exist for the briefest heartbeat.

Here’s to the memories that call us back… and the adventures still waiting to be captured.

I came to Wyoming with cameras, lenses, and a suitcase full of expectations.

What I found was something much simpler.

Golden leaves dancing in the wind.
The sound of hooves through tall grass.
A herd of horses appearing from the trees like a scene from a dream.

A sneak peek at a graduating senior and the story this year has written.

The ribbons, trophies, and hard earned moments tell only part of it. Behind every award is an early morning, a difficult ride, a lesson learned, and the quiet determination to keep showing up even when the road felt uncertain.

What a roller coaster of a season it has been, with the proof standing proudly there. The growth, grit, and grace woven into this year are something no ribbon could ever fully capture.
