My sweet Grandma Linda was called to join her Lord & Savior in heaven. It was a tough battle these last few weeks, but there was a ton of love and comfort from those closest to her.
During those final days, I asked grandma some questions I never have before. One of those being her favorite song… She started singing “If only I could hear my mother pray again” by Loretta Lynn. Told me she would sing it all the time with her sisters.
Grandma always talked about her own mother to us… And… just like the song… it brings me comfort knowing she can now “hear her mother pray again.”
It is my turn to start singing the same tune, and await the day for when I get to “hear her again” too…
“how happy I would be.”
Heaven just gained a friend, a daughter, a sister, a wife, and grandmother all in one. May you rest in peace and watch over us. I love you grandma, we all love you.
