Hi friends 🥰 I’m Cecilia! The face behind Captured by CeciliaI’ve been sharing bits and pieces of my photography journey over the past few months, but I figured it’s time I truly introduce myself!

I was born and raised in Northern California, but I’ve called Sleepy Eye, MN home for over 10 years.

Although I’ve taken pictures for years, my photography journey truly started in March 2025 when my little sister asked me to take her senior photos - and I’ve been hooked ever since! What began with friends and family has now grown into Captured by Cecilia, my pride and joy. Photography has always been a dream and passion of mine. I was always “the friend who took pictures” and constantly told I should turn it into something more… and even though I’m still starting out, here I am, chasing that dream!

I love meeting new faces, capturing real emotions, and preserving the moments that mean the most- from families to engagements, maternity, and (hopefully soon!) weddings.

When I’m not behind the camera or at my full time job, you can find me exploring new food and coffee spots, traveling, spending time with my siblings, best friends, and godson, or having cozy nights with my husband Isaac and our pups, Milo & Siggy - always with my coffee in hand.

I’m so excited to see what the future has in store for me and this fulfilling passion of mine, and I can’t wait to meet more of your beautiful faces along the way. Thank you for being here, for supporting me, and for allowing me to capture your most cherished moments. Although im still learning everyday i couldn’t be more excited. Let’s create something beautiful together!💛

Baby K is arriving soon!! Getting to photograph one of my best friends and her husband Brandon during such a beautiful season of life was truly an honor. Watching her step into motherhood and capturing these moments of love, strength, and anticipation was so special.
