I have a goal this year to do a bit more street photography...to take out my camera and capture life just being life wherever I go. Yesterday, I took photos of teens going to prom. As I was leaving, this man was playing accordion. I gave him some money and asked if I could take his picture. I especially liked the socked feet.

Happy Mother’s Day to the best clients a girl could ask for. Capturing the love between children and their moms for the past decade (or more?!?) has been such a gift. I hope your day is filled with as much love as you pour into this world.

I have been asked to do two weddings in the coming year. I am not a wedding photographer. In fact, I find them terrifying. But there are occasions when the right people ask me, and I feel excited to get behind the camera. This is a candid shot of two guests from one such wedding. I am grateful the any chance I get to take pictures of love, of families, of important moments. I am hoping some of you will still have me photograph you (wedding or not) in 2026.

It's a weekend of editing. The last of my shoots are done (save three which have yet to be scheduled). The snow is snowing. The Christmas tree is up. I have about 10 minis left to cull and clean up. When I get to see images like this, I get so excited to open each gallery. Thank you to everyone who made 2025 another remarkable year. I have such gratitude for you all.

The thing about taking pictures with teen boys is that you have to let them be. However they show up. Photos cannot be staged or forced, because if they are, you will be able to tell in every image. This guy and I have done several shoots over the years, and I know him and his mom well. Today's shoot was full of maturity and poise as well as a signature smile I have seen since he was small. I am so thankful he still lets me take his pics after all these years.
