Some venues give you one beautiful backdrop. Hotel Saint Cecilia gives you something to work with in almost every direction.

For this rehearsal dinner, the setting became part of the design. The striped stone underfoot, the trees surrounding the tables, and the late afternoon light filtering through the branches all added another layer to what was already an incredible tablescape.

Then there were the details: **purple glassware**, graphic black-and-white plates, candlelight, wood tables, and **rehearsal dinner florals** filled with deep reds, purples, greenery, trailing ivy, and unexpected touches of produce.

It’s the kind of environment where the photographs can keep changing without the story ever feeling disconnected. A wide frame shows the entire dinner tucked beneath the trees. Move closer and it becomes about light passing through a wine glass, the texture of a place setting, a flower falling across the table, or a candle beginning to glow.

So much **natural light, texture, color, tablescape design, and layered event styling** to photograph in one space. And that’s always the goal: not simply photographing the details individually, but showing how the setting, design, and atmosphere all worked together.

Some flowers deserve their own moment.

For Shelby and Henry’s Glenbrook Club wedding, the florals felt almost like an extension of the landscape. Soft ivory, barely-there blush, and powder blue moved through the day in loose, garden-inspired arrangements that never felt too perfect or too placed.

The ceremony flowers grew along the aisle as though they had always been there. The bouquet felt gathered rather than arranged. Delicate stems found their way onto tables, beside stationery, and throughout the reception.

There was a softness to all of it. Romantic without being overly sweet. Abundant without feeling heavy. The kind of wedding floral design that becomes part of how you remember a place.

And against the quiet beauty of Lake Tahoe, it felt especially fitting.
A little appreciation for the flowers that made Shelby and Henry’s day at Glenbrook Club feel like a garden tucked into the mountains.

There’s a particular feeling to getting married at Martis Camp. Once everyone has arrived and the celebration begins, the rest of the world feels very far away.

Surrounded by towering pines and the mountains of North Lake Tahoe, there’s a sense of privacy here that’s hard to replicate. Your guests aren’t simply arriving at a wedding venue. They’re gathering somewhere that feels completely removed, intimate, and entirely yours for the day.

For a few hours, it can almost feel as though the mountain belongs only to you, your family, and the people you chose to bring with you.

That feeling comes through in the photographs, too. A ceremony framed by the mountains. A veil catching the Tahoe breeze. Wildflowers along the aisle. Quiet moments tucked between the trees. The scale of the landscape makes everything feel grand, while the privacy keeps the experience deeply personal.

That balance is what makes a Martis Camp wedding so special. It’s refined without feeling overly formal, secluded without feeling removed, and surrounded by scenery that doesn’t need much added to it.

For couples planning a luxury Lake Tahoe wedding, Martis Camp offers something rare: the chance to celebrate in a place that feels private enough to become your own little world.

Some weddings feel completely at home in their surroundings.

Emily and Chris’s wedding at Mitchell’s Meadows was exactly that. Set among the pines in **Lake Tahoe**, the day paired an elevated, organic design with a setting that was already doing so much of the work.

Soft florals, natural wood, a tent tucked into the trees, and warm summer light created a celebration that felt considered without feeling overly styled.

As a **Lake Tahoe wedding photographer**, this is what I’m always paying attention to: how the design, landscape, light, and people all come together. The wide photographs that establish a sense of place matter just as much as the quiet exchanges between people and the portraits we intentionally create.

It’s how a wedding gallery becomes a record of what the day actually felt like, not simply what it looked like.

If you’re planning an **elevated Lake Tahoe wedding** and are drawn to natural, editorial imagery with a strong sense of place, you can explore more of my work at the link in bio.

There’s something about getting on a boat right after you get married.

For Alyssa and Mike’s West Shore Lake Tahoe wedding, the ceremony ended, the hugs were had, and then they stepped onto the boat and headed out onto the lake together.

For a little while, everything got quiet.

After months of planning and a morning filled with anticipation, there was finally nowhere else they needed to be. Just the two of them, a couple glasses of champagne, that incredible bouquet tucked beside them, and **Lake Tahoe** stretching out in every direction.

I love this kind of pause in a wedding day. It gives you a chance to actually take in what just happened. You’re married. Your favorite people are back on shore. And for a few minutes, you get to sit next to your person on the water and let that sink in.

For a **private estate wedding in Lake Tahoe**, the lake can become part of the day in such a natural way.

A quiet post-ceremony reset.
Time together without rushing.
**Lake Tahoe wedding portraits** on the water.

And then, the ride back.

Everyone was gathered along the dock waiting for Alyssa and Mike, and I love the contrast of those two moments: a few peaceful minutes alone followed by all that joy welcoming them back.

It’s one of the reasons I love photographing **West Shore Lake Tahoe weddings**. The water, docks, boats, mountains, and people along the shoreline aren’t simply the backdrop. They become part of how the day is remembered.

Planning a **West Shore Lake Tahoe wedding**, **lakefront wedding in Lake Tahoe**, or **private estate wedding in Tahoe**? I photograph celebrations with an eye for the natural, unscripted moments that make this place feel like part of your story. More details are at the link in bio.

When I first became a photographer, I saw moments.
Over the years, I learned to see everything else.
The way a beautifully tailored jacket changes a silhouette. The confidence a pair of Louboutins brings before anyone notices the red sole. The texture of lace against granite. How rich earth tones and deep crimson seem to belong in the Sierra landscape.
Photography has taught me that great images aren't created by one spectacular location or one beautiful couple. They're built from hundreds of small details working together.
This session at Donner Lake has stayed with me for years, not just because these two are wonderful humans (they are), but because they helped shape the way I see. They've become dear friends, I've since had the honor of photographing their family again, and every time I revisit these images, I'm reminded that growth as an artist often comes from paying closer attention.
Luxury isn't about excess.
It's about noticing.
If you're planning an engagement session or wedding in Lake Tahoe and care just as much about the feeling as the craftsmanship behind every image, I'd love to tell your story.

The moments guests remember most usually happen in the spaces between the timeline.

A handwritten es**rt card waiting to be discovered. A veil catching the last light before sunset. The movement of a gown as the day slows down. A quiet portrait before the celebration begins. Then stepping into the evening together with everyone you love.

The most unforgettable wedding galleries aren't built from one iconic image. They're built from hundreds of intentional moments that preserve how the entire experience felt from beginning to end.

Planning a wedding weekend in Lake Tahoe? I'd love to help you tell the full story.

“An outdoor wedding in Lake Tahoe sounds beautiful until you realize the scenery has to compete with the emotion of the day itself. ✨

Hannah and Kevin’s wedding at Everline Resort somehow managed to do both.
Guests arrived beneath towering pines with parasols in hand, cocktail hour opened into sweeping mountain views, and dinner unfolded under soft candlelight as the sun disappeared behind the Sierra landscape. Every part of the day felt intentional without ever feeling overdone.

What made this celebration stand out most was the balance between elegance and ease. Nothing felt rushed. Nothing felt performative. Just a genuinely beautiful wedding weekend surrounded by the people who mattered most. 🤍

From the meadow portraits at sunset to the quiet in-between moments during dinner service, this Lake Tahoe wedding felt timeless in the best way.

A wedding that felt equal parts intimate dinner party and elevated editorial. Every detail at carried this quiet sophistication, from the soft candlelight to the layered textures, timeless florals, and guests dressed like they stepped out of a fashion campaign.

Katie + Mark created the kind of atmosphere people remember long after the weekend ends. Not because it was overdone, but because every choice felt intentional. The delicate white florals, the warm glow of the reception space, and the understated elegance woven through every moment all felt effortless in the best way.

These are the weddings we love most. The ones where the design enhances the feeling instead of overpowering it. Where guests feel relaxed, beautiful, and fully present from ceremony to final dance.

Grand Lady Austin continues to be one of our favorite venues for couples wanting that balance of refined and welcoming. Architectural charm, natural surroundings, and spaces that photograph beautifully at every hour of the day.
