A Common Loon (non-breeding plumage) floats the waters of New Topsail Inlet along the sandy shores of Topsail Beach, NC.

Several dolphins were hanging out in this area and swam directly under this loon and brushed up against it. The loon freaked out, made a funny sound, and kind of jumped up out of the water for a brief moment. A very comical scene!
