Since we have a lot of new faces here on this page I thought I would do a reintroduction 👩🏻🍳.
My name is Cade; I am the baker behind Stray Hearth. I’m a disabled SAHM to 3 kiddos, and the Hearth will have been open for 5 months as of next week! 🤯 However, I have been baking for over the last 20 years. Growing up with Italian roots I had a dad who could COOK. Our holidays were always centered around tables full of food and laughter and a grandpa who’d start every meal throwing up his hands yelling “Mange, Mange” 🥹. So I spent a lot of time in the kitchen, but since my dad cooked, I took to what he didn’t enjoy and that was baking. Back then cupcakes were all the rage so I’d be baking cupcakes every family dinner or birthday and eventually worked for a local cupcake shop here in New Port Richey.
Over time I became that family member who passed out 5-pound cookie boxes at Christmas and brought too many desserts to the gatherings. When I moved to the Midwest for a brief time I was slowly building a cake business. After having to come back to Florida I decided I had to just jump into my dream of baking, and that’s when Stray Hearth was set into motion.
The Stray Hearth: a waypoint for wildly good rations and valiant wares, is a nod to all 3 of my children and their middle names. Wild, Strayed, and Valor. While baking is what I do, those 3 are my reason. Hearth is the heart of the home, where people gather to cook, stay warm, and tell stories. Between my 3 little reasons and my passion for what I do I try to bake love into every small batch of goods from my hearth to your home 💛.
I’m so grateful so many of you have joined in on this journey of mine and I can’t describe the feeling of pure joy I get from getting to sweeten your day anytime you swing by the stand or see me at my booth. While I will always be baking in life, it’s all of you that make it possible to share my baked goods with the community 🍪 Excited to see how much this page grows over the next 5 months 🥹🎉
