That Kansas City library PARKING GARAGE did its job being the perfect backdrop for this theme! Little man’s parents have always been book lovers and when his newborn session (and both him and his brother had book themed nurseries) I was so excited they picked this for his first birthday theme. Nothing compares to getting to celebrate with families who truly are like family themselves!

I’ve been doing this as a parent since birth, as a daycare provider since the start, and as a photographer for a year. Worth it. Even when it’s hard. Your babies are worth it

This is something I’ve been battling for a few months. Had so many conversations with other photographers about, and started posting less and less photos of children- however, within the last 24 hours I have seen so many posts flooding my feed. I’ve been on the fence about even making a post addressing my stance. But I would rather be loud about it- so clients can understand why I will not be sharing some sessions on here, or why I will not post a cute photo of your kiddo.

I will no longer be posting identifiable images of children on my photography page. Never again.

The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals just ruled that privately possessing AI-generated CSAM depicting “fictional” children can be constitutionally protected when it stays within the home.

That information makes me sick, and I cannot and will not risk being part of the problem If our government and laws aren’t going to adequately protect children from what AI can do with their images.

Will this affect my business?

I don’t care if it does.
I would hope that it gives you even more trust that your images are always safe with me, though.

I always want to give best attempt to be on the correct side of history.

The safety of children and my clients will always come before my business.

Wanna know a secret? The little boys (and girls) usually run wild at their sessions and it makes for great photos!

They’re having fun and it’s so evident! So stress a little less, make it a game, and as long as everyone’s safe I’ll chase them with you - we will make it happen!

Worried about your babies being grumpy? Your toddler being a toddler? The preschooler not wanting to cooperate? Sweet, let’s knock this out now. . . They’re going to do great! Honest.

We’re going to play and act weird and your teenager may roll their eyes but the photos will happen.

The best photos happen in the in-between. The moments that most miss because they’re just the organic every day life giggles.

Putting everyone into their perfectly posed spots won’t give you a true representation of your story but the laughter when we yell about who farts the loudest at home sure will.

So come to your session ready to be a little silly and maybe just a little lax on the “dinner table” talk rules. ♥️

The back to school photos have started and just like that it feels like a summer that just started is coming to a close. Sadness tends to creep in for some but for others the excitement of the “ber” months is coming!!

Fall Minis & Micros Location 2/2: Lost Hill Park!

Fall minis & micros for the families ballin' on a budget looking for a toddler (or grumpy teen) friendly option that isn't screaming "FALL" and everything pumpkin. Sometimes we just need a subtle hint of the weather change and a space where our families can breathe. These are the ones for you!

We will be strict on time limits to give everyone their allotted space.

Location: Lost Hill Park 4705 N Farm Rd 151 Springfield, MO

Micros: 5 minutes, $30, 5 images included with the option to purchase more at the rate of $10 per image or $75 for the entire gallery. Proof gallery will be provided within one week of photos being taken and once photos are selected (and if necessary, invoice paid) photos will be edited and returned to you within one week.

Minis: 15 minutes, $125, all the best images included. Photos will be returned to you within 2 weeks of photos being taken.

Please note - back up weather date information: Back up date for these photos is October 25th; Please make sure you are available for both dates before signing up.
