Contrary to what some people may think, I’d rather go to this man who is a wealth of knowledge that he’s lived through, than ask some AI bot for answers.

He’s taught me so many things in all my years, even when I was little and he may have thought I wasn’t listening. I was absorbing it all like a sponge.

If I were to tell anyone in this younger generation, it’s to listen to their stories, pay attention to what they are trying to show you and teach you. Especially the old ways when it wasn’t called homesteading, it’s was just their way of life. My granny didn’t homestead cause it was trendy, she did it to survive. That’s what I plan on bringing back in how I teach and raise my boys.

Returning to my roots is the best thing I’ve ever done, instead of trying to chase what I used to think was more fulfilling. Never forget where you come from.

Mom’s brunch was so fun, I’m so glad I got to spend time with everyone. Mom life is so chaotic at times, you just need good friends around you even in the middle of the chaos sometimes. More photos and videos to come of course!
