Loving Day hits deeply in my world…

A white mom. A black dad. Created me. Because of the courage of Mildred Loving and Richard Loving, families like mine exist freely today.

What a gift it is to see generations, cultures, and stories woven together through love.

Sometimes I look at my family and realize that not very long ago, our story wasn’t something everyone believed should exist.

Today I’m grateful for the people who fought for the freedom to love, marry, and build families across racial lines. Because of that courage, I get to live this beautiful, joy-filled life with the people I love most.

And for that, I’m thankful.
