Hey friends! 👋 I realize that even though I don’t use social media all that much these days (there were years where I posted almost every day!) and lot of my close friends still use it so I pop in to see how everything is going, so HOW IS EVERYBODY???
Myself: overall, I’m feeling happier and I’m actually in a good place!❤️ I will be getting in touch more with my good friends outside of fb. I miss my friends, but not Facebook or social media much.

This neutral girl?! WHO IS SHE?! She’s wearing the travel palette that has a perfect 6 pan, light to dark neutral brown color story in mattes and shimmers. It’s gorgeous! I mean if anyone is going to get me to wear neutrals, it’s Nomad. However…*cue “My Way” by Frank Sinatra* I paired it with some color, of course! Royal blue is one of my all time favorite colors, and blues are some of my favorites in general! I’ve always felt that brown and blue went well together, so I decided to use my favorite blue eyeliner from @1999.beauty called “Wasser”, a bright cobalt blue. Since we’re talking about travel and flying being the theme of the “Nomad air” collection, I paired it with a wing by inkliner black (which, btw, creates a fantastic sharp edge even on my 44 year old eyes!). Now I’ll admit I felt so awkward wearing the browns, but by the time the whole look came together, I was feeling it! Call it a lesson in getting outside of your comfort zone. My advice for looks outside your comfort zone is to pair it with something, one item or color you do feel comfortable with. 💙 🤎

Have you tried out ‘s eyeshadow palettes? I recently bought both the coven and witchcraft palettes and HOLY SMOKES they are amazing! (Swipe for more) Very reasonably priced too! This look was a combo of both palettes along with some extras from shadowboxer eye crayon in Marquee Moon and Saquaro on the outer corner of my lids. Thanks to for the recommendation🙃😄 On a side note, Who wants to see some editorial looks from me? I’ve been feeling it lately. What do you look for to inspire new looks? Lately I’ve taken to color palettes on Pinterest! You can really fall down a rabbit hole! I love color, different color combos, and how they work together. I then want to find a way to make it work on my canvas aka my face🙂 Now to make some time to set aside for that will be the thing! Lately I’ve just been creating looks that I’m wearing on a daily basis. I’m happy to get artsy/creative at any given moment! If not, I can continue to post my daily looks!

Who’s ready for Halloween? The Trick Or Treat palette by x palette has me in the mood for it! 🎃 with its fiery matte shades and sparkling metallics/duochromes. Seriously, one of the most, if not THE most beautiful orange and red shades I’ve ever tried. I’m loving this cooler weather but my body hates it. Today was a very hard day pain wise, but I can’t even be mad about it when I went out to do some Uber eats last night and a complete stranger tipped me $50! FIFTY. Dear person, you made my whole month. I hope all the good karma comes right back to you. I’ll have to spread some of my own. 🧡🎃 I just realize I have no idea what I’m going to be for Halloween and I should break out my mehron paints. Who else is obsessed with the colors orange and blue together? Can you tell this post is a very stream of consciousness post? My ADHD is showing a little.

How’s your Thursday going? I’ve been kinda floored by this $10 palette from I picked up at the other day. Like whaaaat (scroll to see my reaction & some finger swatching). It’s “Welcome To Sin City”, by the way. I’m not paid to say anything; I was simply impressed with the quality. Also, thanks to for the bitchin’ Frida Kahlo shirt. I’m not paid to say any of that either. Anyways, health wise, I’m waiting on an mri on my neck but the lumbar mri has said that from L1 to S1 is bulging (I have 2 plates and 6 screws in my back on L 4/5) with spinal stenosis. C3/4 is herniated. Not to be the downer, but if I have days where I’m skipping Instagram, that pain is more likely the culprite. I don’t have any room to complain though. I’ve been dealing with this since I was 28, and if it’s taught me anything, it’s taught me that the little joys in life are really important to show gratitude towards. See you in my next post. Im hoping to film some reels soon too!

Are you a sucker for purples/greens, and blue-turquoise like myself? I could have 50 palettes with those colors in them, and I’d still want more! I’m in love with the new Nightshade palette (purchased) - featuring “Henbane”, a cool toned green shade that I layered with the transformative shade “enchanter” (the kind of shade that turns just about any color a different shade when layered). I layered back and forth between the matte cool toned green and enchanter & came up with this lovely turquoise-teal shade! This palette is quite versatile for a green and purple color story! It goes from light to dark, which is a huge plus in my book. I wish the mustard yellow was a bit of a more brighter banana yellow, but that’s just my selfish preference. It has nothing to do with the quality. I love the purples, and holy smokes all the textures of metallics and duochromes are incredible! I feel like they really stand out in this palette! I paired it with the stunning super nice multichrome liners in buzz and chroma. Btw, I love the price point of those. On a personal note, how’s everyone doing? I’m personally working on using a habit tracker to use some better habits like reading more and curbing my spending habits. I will often escape into bad habits if I’m stressed or anxious (or my brain is dopamine deficient due to ADHD) so wish me the best of luck there. At the end of the day, I’m just wanting to be both the best version of myself and loving to myself. I’ve spend too long not being kind to the person who needs it so she can continue to be the best person: myself. Can you relate?

I have a case of RBF and so does my wonderful, lovely, best friend of a mother. When I was a kid and she was concentrating on driving or bookkeeping, I’d ask “are you mad?” 😆 If you’d like to see my true personality, keep swiping. 🤪Honestly, I was feeling sultry and loved the mood that this palette ( Ghost Town USA gold + grit palette) was giving! I have another look in mind but wanted to start off with something slightly moody! Can I tell you how much I loved the shades Garnet, MT and the duochrome Ghost Town?! Holy smokes! Nomad conjured up an eyeshadow witch doctor and stepped up their shimmer game! (Sorry, it’s spooky season!) So buttery and sparkly (but not a chunky sparkle - no glitter - just pure glimmering goodness!). Of course I had to dip into the Calamity Jane shade in my crease! Thank you, , for gifting me this palette! Eyes:

The eyes are the window to the soul, but they sure look better with some sparkly goods on them! I’m completely enchanted with bismuth holographic shadow from their pure metals collection that just released. This was my first lethal purchase and now I want so much more from them.
Something about holographic and multichromes are just magical. Anything super sparkly but not necessarily glittery or chunky glittery.
This shade is especially mesmerizing in the sunlight!

I’m a bit overwhelmed right now personally but I’ve got the power of sparkles ✨ in my corner! Take that, anxiety! ( But seriously, words of encouragement are welcome! )

Sporting some of the amazing Matte eye paints, (la zona rosa, vertigo flowers, and crocodile rock) and I forgot what else I was wearing here because I hadn’t intended to initially post it here. What I really wanted to write about was my personal journey. I took an long hiatus, and it was very encouraging to see everyone’s support in my last post. Thank you. I honestly didn’t know it would be so welcoming. You all are such talented, sweet, and creative individuals. I wanted to talk about creative burnout (creator burnout!). There’s so much that goes into content creation, & I have ADHD. I can be extremely hyper focused at times, or I can be procrastinating because I’m unmotivated. I’m 43 & I still struggle with this (but I know in some ways even though it’s a challenge, it can be to my advantage). My end goal is to find some kind of balance so I don’t get burned out again. The hours put into content creation is something that unless you’re doing it, you really don’t know. When you have chronic pain due to psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia, and spinal stenosis, that can slow you down too. This is not a pity party; these are just contributing factors that lead to that place where I had to walk away for a while. It was refreshing to not have a schedule to strictly abide by, and while I move forward I want to post and get back into it, my main focus is creativity.
I want to promote indie brands and major brands if they choose to collaborate (but I’ll be honest - indie brands are my favorite!) but I also want the wiggle room of sitting down and just filming my makeup process (or not) and reaching for whatever comes to mind (I’ll be shopping my stash but also new in the mix too, whether it’s purchases or PR. You may see swatches here too, because I can’t help myself. When I fall in love with an eyeshadow palette or liquid shadow, I want to share it with everyone).Getting in that flow state where you’re on artistic fire is my favorite place to be. I’m ready for the next chapter!
