This edit just hits different.

We were shooting down by the riverfront right after it rained, and the humidity was intense. My lens kept fogging up over and over again—so much that I genuinely thought we’d have to end the session early or that I’d lose some of my favorite shots.

This image is proof that things don’t always go as planned, and that’s okay.

Instead of deleting it, I leaned into the mood and spent some extra time editing. What started as a photo I thought was ruined turned into one of my favorite images from the entire session.

Sometimes the best photos come from working through the unexpected. 📸✨

Every once in a while, I can’t help but share a single image from a session while I’m uploading the gallery and getting ready to edit.

Part of my workflow after a session is bringing everything into my editing software and doing an initial scroll through. As I go, I’ll sometimes add a few soft edits here and there… and every now and then, one image just stops me.

And when that happens… you might get a little sneak peek the very same night 🤍

Stepping outside my usual golden hour comfort zone for this one… and wow, was it worth it 🤍
9am light hit differently in the best way — soft, dreamy, and so full of life.

This session reminded me that magic isn’t just reserved for sunsets. There’s something so fresh and peaceful about a morning glow, and I’m officially obsessed.

This one deserved its own post 🤍

When my sister-in-law asked me to capture Beau’s newborn photos, I knew right away I wanted to recreate something that means so much to me. These bears aren’t just props—they belonged to his cousins. I took this same photo with both of my babies, and getting to continue that little tradition for Beau… it hit my mama heart in a way I didn’t expect.

Getting to step behind the camera and capture my newest nephew, Beau, is something I will cherish forever. These early days are so fleeting—the tiny fingers, the sleepy stretches, the way he fits so perfectly in your arms—and I feel so incredibly lucky to freeze just a few of these moments in time.

Beau, you are already so deeply loved, and I cannot wait to watch you grow 🤍
