Is it just me, or does time feel like it got weird after the shutdown?! I’ve changed so much, done so much, and been so many places since then. And social media has changed so much since then, too. No more uwu trending on the fyp (hopefully) and definitely less dancetoks, too.

What were you doing during lockdown? Where were you when it really hit you that “Oh- this is ACTUALLY happening…”?!

I was working at a hotel and we had to kick everyone out due to the lockdown. It was insane for us in Vegas. The entire STRIP was completely dead, casinos were all boarded up, and people were out riding bikes everywhere. Once we shut down, I spent most of my time quarantined with my cousin in Oregon. It was a traumatic time for me for other reasons, but being in Oregon surrounded by trees and a woman who inspired me to be productive was the best place I could have been. We binged a lot of vampire diaries ( ) and ate a lot of Thai takeout. What a time. They’ll read about this time in the history books.📚

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone, it’s been a while! Not only since I’ve posted, but since I’ve created much at all. I decided I want to be more intentional about how I show up on social media, how I spend my free time, and what kind of content I even want to create.

I am starting to feel inspired and more clear as of late and after coming across these photos, I’m getting the itch to start taking self portraits again. I had previously taken these for Valentines day and I just remember really loving the process. Putting the details/backdrop together, shooting/framing and editing. It’s been a while since I’ve felt this way so IDK, just wanted to share that.

Thanks for reading if you stuck around for that whole essay and remember, you are loved. Not just today, but every day💋

Have you ever regretted being vulnerable with someone? I think vulnerability is power, but sometimes when you’re vulnerable with the wrong people it leaves you feeling uneasy. Sometimes a sick feeling in your stomach, or feelings of regret, or a constant questioning of your own judgement. It makes you want to become cold, because being cold seems easier than running the risk of getting hurt again.

Something I truly believe though, is that we can NOT let people that hurt us take up any more space in our hearts or minds than they already have. We can not let their coldness turn us cold, too. We have to remain like the sun- warm & kind- because the world is already cold enough. We can certainly be more careful, or slower to open up, or be more mindful of who we share ourselves with, sure, but we can NOT let them take away our power.
