I had a great time photographing Mason's senior pictures on Sunday! We were originally scheduled for today, but decided to take advantage of the gorgeous, and much warmer weather and bump them up a couple of days. So glad we did! Mason definitely got a good workout in on the court when we captured his basketball photos :) Thanks for the fun session!

Congratulations to Kailee Malone and the rest of the Stewartville girls cross country team for earning another trip to state!

I am not going to lie, I still get emotional watching the runners work hard to achieve their goals or miss the mark and leave broken hearted. We spent 10 years cheering my son, James, on during his running career through high school and college. It’s nice going to enjoy sections as a fan where we are not as nervous as we used to be! We’ve definitely been on both ends of things watching James miss state by one place and three seconds, then watch him crush it the following year by placing 4th in sections then following that up with an All-State performance. Go get em at state Tigers!

Kolten is a member of the John Marshall Trap Team. It was fun to capture some unique images for him and learn more about this growing sport. I admittedly know nothing about clay shooting, but I know that we have several talented teams in the area. I did learn that safety comes first and students are responsible for completing firearm safety as well as a range safety course. It's actually the only safety certified program in the schools. The best part of the sport is that it is inclusive to anyone that would like to give it a try and learn to properly use a gun. You don't have to be the fastest, tallest, strongest, etc to excel in the sport. It's popular for both boys and girls and ever handicap accessible. I would definitely say it looks a lot of fun! How many people here have participated in clay target shooting?
