Apparently the brand started early. 😂

My mom found my preschool pictures from 1993–94 and immediately noticed I was missing from the group photo.

Mom, without hesitation:
“Probably at a stock show.”

And honestly… that tracks.

30-some years later, I’m still spending my weekends ringside, working in agriculture, raising livestock and carrying a camera.

Turns out Meaganish didn’t start with a camera.

It started with cows. 🐮📸

The fountain is going ORANGE. 🧡

Which means it is officially time to book one of the most Oklahoma State photo sessions you can possibly have.

I’ll be photographing at the orange fountain October 19–22—perfect for seniors and graduates who consider orange a personality trait.

These dates will fill quickly, so message Meaganish to claim your spot. Go Pokes! 🤠🧡

Another big thank you to Cimarron Valley Co-op for stepping up to sponsor photography for the Livestock Judging Contest at the Payne County Free Fair!

Livestock judging teaches kids to evaluate, make decisions, defend those decisions and trust what they see — skills that reach a whole lot further than the show ring.

Thanks to Cimarron Valley Co-op, we were able to capture the next generation of livestock evaluators putting those skills to work and make their professional photos available to download completely FREE.

We especially appreciate Cimarron Valley Co-op for supporting multiple events at this year’s fair and continuing to invest in the kids and programs that keep agriculture moving forward.

Thank you, Cimarron Valley Co-op, for showing up for Payne County agriculture! ❤️📸

Okay, sheep people—I need honest answers, not just polite likes.
Would you actually wear this?
THE BREEDING SHEEP REVOLUTION
Breed character. Function. Purpose.
Built for the flock—not just the backdrop.
I’m thinking a Pepper-colored heavyweight tee with the small design on the front left chest and the full statement across the back.
If there’s enough real interest, I’ll add it to the new Meaganish store. Comment YES + your size if you’d buy one. Bonus points if you tell me whether you’d want a T-shirt, long sleeve or hoodie.
Let’s see if we’ve got a revolution. 🐑

A little extra shine for the hog ring. 🐷✨
A huge thank you to Champion Tanning & Lights for sponsoring photography for the Hog Show at the Payne County Free Fair!
Hog exhibitors know there’s a whole lot of work behind those few minutes in the ring — feeding, washing, walking, practicing and doing your best to convince a pig that, yes, we really ARE going this direction. 😂
Because of Champion Tanning & Lights, our exhibitors and their families can download their professional show photos completely FREE.
We’ve loved being able to capture the work, the wins and everything in between for these kids, and it wouldn’t have been possible without businesses stepping up to support them.
Thank you, Champion Tanning & Lights, for helping our hog exhibitors shine! 🐷📸❤️

There’s nothing quite like fair day from between a horse’s ears. 🐴❤️

A huge thank you to Hometown Mechanical for sponsoring photography for the Horse Show at the Payne County Free Fair!

Horse kids know the work happens long before show day — hours in the saddle, feeding, grooming, practicing, hauling and building a partnership with an animal that doesn’t always read the same rulebook you do. 😂

Thanks to Hometown Mechanical, we were able to capture those trips through the ring and make the professional photos available to our horse exhibitors and their families to download completely FREE.

These sponsorships have allowed us to put thousands of fair memories directly into the hands of the people who made them, and we’re so thankful for every local business that stepped up to make it happen.

Thank you, Hometown Mechanical, for supporting our horse exhibitors and the Payne County Free Fair! 🐴📸

From the show ring to the milk barn, our dairy exhibitors deserved their moment in front of the camera too. 🐄📸
A huge thank you to A1 Septic for sponsoring photography for the Dairy Show at the Payne County Free Fair!
Dairy exhibitors put in a different kind of dedication. These projects require consistency, patience, early mornings and plenty of work long before anyone ever steps into the ring.
Because A1 Septic stepped up to sponsor the show, our dairy exhibitors and their families can download their professional photos completely FREE.
We set out to make sure as many Payne County exhibitors as possible walked away from fair week with great photographs of the projects they worked so hard on—and businesses like A1 Septic are the reason we could do it.
Thank you, A1 Septic, for showing up for our exhibitors and supporting the Payne County Free Fair! ❤️

Sometimes I actually get to be at the Hereford events. 🤎

This weekend was the world’s fastest trip to Maryland and New York, and tomorrow I’m headed right back to Oklahoma — but this one was worth it.

Dad likes the practical classics. I like functional and pretty. Mom likes when we don’t spend money. Somehow, the combination is making the JDS Herefords cow herd better every generation… and stressing my mother out accordingly. 😂

I’m really proud of where Dad’s herd is headed. We’ve been more intentional about the genetics we’re adding and the direction we want to go, and it’s fun to finally feel like the pieces are starting to come together.

Tohono is a big part of what has me excited about the next chapter. Being partnered on him with one of my great friends, Kate Kohlbeck at Storey’s Herefords, and the Colyer family is pretty damn special — and now we have pregnancies on the way that I’m very impatient to see hit the ground.

Dad brings the classics. I’m usually somewhere in the pedigrees and numbers trying to figure out what we need next. Mom is trying to figure out why either of us think we need anything at all. 😂

But somewhere in the middle, we’re building a cow herd I’m increasingly proud of — and I think the next few years are going to be pretty fun.

Now I just need to get my folks moved to Oklahoma so being part of the family cattle operation doesn’t require quite so many airplanes.

Proud of my dad. Proud of the direction we’re going. And really damn excited about what’s coming next. 🤎 if you’ve been waiting on logos and design work I’m back to the regularly scheduled programming Wednesday.
