We’ve been sharing a whole lot of Hawaii lately, but Hawaii wasn’t our only adventure! We also made our way through Washington and Alaska on a different trip, and we have so many beautiful places and moments still to share. This drive out of the Hoh Rainforest in Olympic National Park, with the roof open on the Bronco and those towering trees all around us, was one of those moments that made the journey just as incredible as the destination. Stay tuned—Washington and Alaska adventures are coming!

There’s something magical about the contrast of black lava rock, blue Pacific water, and the beautiful coastline of Waikoloa on Hawaiʻi’s Big Island.

We loved exploring the beach and all the incredible lava rock formations along the shoreline—while my husband kept his eyes on the ocean, hoping to spot more sea turtles. 🐢

One of my favorite things about traveling together is that every adventure comes with a built-in handsome model for my photos. I’m not complaining!

Punaluʻu Black Sand Beach was magical.

The jet-black volcanic sand was so different from normal beaches, but the real highlight was seeing the beautiful green sea turtles resting along the shore. 🐢

Hawaii’s Big Island just keeps reminding us how incredibly diverse and beautiful nature can be. From rainforest to lava rock to black sand beaches—there’s something amazing around every corner. 🌺

There’s something magical about the little details of a rainforest. 🌿 We loved wandering through Akaka Falls State Park on the Big Island of Hawaii and taking in all the incredible ferns, tropical plants, and tiny critters along the way.

This little fern stopped us in our tracks—I love the way the new leaves curl and slowly unfurl. 💚 Sometimes the smallest things are the most beautiful.

There’s so much to love about Hawaii’s Big Island—the beaches, the waterfalls, the volcanoes—but we absolutely love the farmland too!

There’s something so beautiful about driving through the lush green fields, seeing goats grazing against the rolling hills, little farms tucked into the landscape, and watching the scenery change completely as you travel across the island. It’s a side of Hawaii that doesn’t always get the attention the beaches do, but it has its own kind of magic.

The Big Island really does have a little bit of everything. 🌴

First Beach, La Push, Washington

Visited First Beach in La Push, Washington — one of the iconic locations from *Twilight*! 🐺🌲🌊

And Washington absolutely understood the assignment. Moody skies, thick fog, rain, crashing waves, and that gorgeous rugged coastline… it honestly couldn’t have been a more perfect day.

There’s something so beautiful about the Pacific Northwest when it’s gray and misty, and standing on this beach felt like stepping straight into the movie.
