When I first reached out to Indulgence about booking my session I was Excited to work with new energy. I booked my session with Indulgence because I really like Courtney’s gentle but direct energy. My biggest fear about my upcoming session was You never know if you’ll mesh with a new photographer. I loved how Courtney made me feel sexy and safe. It’s so important in order to get true sexy, true desire in photos, to be in a safe space. Courtney is that safe space. During my session I felt Empowered, relaxed, and free. My favorite part was Courtney showing me amazing shots she got in camera between us switching things up to encourage me! Working with Courtney was A true connection, and I adored her. When I saw my images during the reveal, I was In love with myself even more. After my session with Indulgence I feel Empowered, in control of my sensuality.

It can be bold.

It can be quiet.

It can feel like sunlight, stone, wind, and the version of you that stopped shrinking herself to make the moment easier for everyone else.

Portrait sessions do not have to be plain just because they are not bo***ir.

I think that is where people get stuck sometimes.

They assume portraits mean standing somewhere cute, smiling a little, and hoping it feels like enough.

But portraits can have styling.

They can have edge.

They can have story, texture, mood, movement, and a little bit of “okay wait, I did not know I could look like that.”

That is the part I love building with clients.

We can use wardrobe, location, accessories, body language, and the way you naturally carry yourself to create something that feels intentional without making it feel like you are pretending to be someone else.

You do not have to know how to pull all of that together before you book.

That is what the planning is for, and honestly, that is where a lot of the good stuff starts.

I love pinterest. It is such a helpful tool.... until you're doom-scrolling it one night because you can't sleep and now you're laying there wondering how the fluff you are supposed to do half those looks and poses.

Lets not even get started on the bending and those arches. We haven't bent that way since elementary school if we didn't somehow make it to middle school before everything seemed to start locking into place on our bodies.

Don't worry, I'm not gonna ask you to turn into some acrobat overnight and do handstands that land your girls in your face like personal suffocation fiends.

Your session will always meet you where you are, and You don't have to "be sexy" and do anything that is crazy over-the-top. I learn who you are, and what you wanna do. That doesn't mean if you have the hair up your arse and wanna do soemthing that you most definitely will regret the next day, we can't do it--because we absolutely can (as long as it isn't gonna result in you or furniture breaking).

Relax more, you don't have to put on a show for the images, I know how to capture YOU.

Lights. Camera..... what do I actually do behind the thing?

There are so many technical things that I do... exposure, apeture, focusing, and all that grand stuff.

But I'm also watching you, waiting for the exhale as you breathe, looking for the moment you shift and relax yourself into the frame. Guiding you from one direction to the next in smooth moments so you feel graceful and calm.

Trusting you as you find your pace and rhythm in yourself and lettin gyou take the lead when you take it.

I'll finally book the session when I..... fill in your blank here.
This isn't about me, its about you. And that stupid sentence you tell yourself whenever you think about doing the damn thing finally.

You aren't going to book it at this rate. Life keeps happening, you keep getting forced to make choices and the one that means putting yourself first is one you're not gonna say yes to when there are so many other things you can say yes to first-- for everyone else.

You want to reach a certain point in life, and that rolls around but you never booked the session. So you keep making new milestones to wait for to finally give yourself permission to say yes.

You want to "lose those extra pounds" and even when you do, you keep making a new goal to reach (and you reach it again, and again, and again) but you keep putting off the session because you don't deserve to have the session yet.

There is always going to be a better opportunity to have said yes during. And who says you can only say yes once? I'm not getting married to you (though I do adore you to pieces). This isn't some giant commitment though and something you're only given one chance to do in life.

You don't have to earn it, you just have to finally say yes to yourself and let yourself be allowed to deserve it.

Courtney is talented and amazing. When it came to our first session, I did not know what to expect, because I had not done any photoshoots before. By the end of that session, I felt so confident and comfortable during the photoshoot. Anytime I step in front of Courtney's camera, she immediately becomes my hypewoman. She gives me a boost in my confidence level and it shows in all the photos we take. Courtney's directions are simple and easy to follow. She poses her models in beautiful, flattering ways that promote self-love. I cannot wait until I can get creative with Courtney again and I highly recommend her photography services!!!!!!

Your confidence doesn't just show up. In all the years that I have been doing this, I don't think a single one of my clients has went from 100% not confident to 100% confidence overnight.

It always seems to have come in small steps, in small moments when they began to say yes to themselves. And saying yes to me was never the first yes they made either on the journey. It starts when you say yes to yourself.

Yes, you deserve to feel good about yourself.
Yes, you are allowed to be happy.
Yes, you can enjoy your life.
Yes, you can exist exactly as you are.
Yes, you get to say yes to that outfit that you love.

Yes begins when you say yes to yourself first. I am who you'll say yes to later down the road when you are truly ready to keep saying yes to yourself and allow yourself to have this moment too.

You don't have to have a reason to want to do this, doing this just because you want to is a good enough reason as any.

I am here for you, for every question you have, even before you fully say yes to me.
