Honey, tell me, are you good at staying still?

One of my favorites from this session of Geneya and Karen’s girls. 😍😍😍 I want to see it framed, large and proud in a primary colored frame. Red I think but I’m always thinking red lately which is bizarre bc five years ago I hated red. Ok other news, we have something like two weeks left of school and I’m over here trying to wrap up homeschooling with my youngest, finish editing and delivering my photos sessions, tie up lose ends on creative projects we all know will drag into the summer months and makeover the boys room before we start our 90s unplugged summer. No big deal. 😂🫣 I can feel summer break looming in my bones and oh what a shadow it makes. The last few years summer themes have been to be by the water and eat ice cream as daily as possible and judging by my deep freezer we stuffed full of gallons on sale we’re halfway there. ✨✨✨😍

Also yes, 90s unplugged summer. I’ll be only checking in online once a week because f**k it. Whose in?! And ! Do I get the boys a tv with dvd player or vhs? Weigh in! 🫶🏼

Let me be who I’m meant to be

One of those photos I didn’t notice until I did, and now I have three versions of it I love. Shall she be dark and silhouetted or shall we see the rain beads on the plastic first before our eyes find her? Too many to choose from, so I chose darkness, my old friend. Torrential downpour, the largest of plastic sheets, trying to get it to catch the non existent wind i’d envisioned and not the puddles, alameda naval base and a creaking staircase to get this photo. Worth it.

i wish you could know me

There aren’t words for this photo, or none will find me, maybe I love it too much to try. Childhood, summertime, nostalgia and angst for the memories before they even are one, before the button has clicked. It feels like the smell of the hose on the concrete washing away the dust of the day. It feels like hope.
