📸 🚨A LITTLE NOTE ABOUT AI & MY PHOTOGRAPHY
I want to take a moment to address something that has become increasingly common in the photography world.
Please do not use AI to alter, recreate, or manipulate the photographs I deliver to you.
There is so much more that goes into your gallery than simply clicking a shutter. From planning and posing, to lighting, photographing, culling, editing, retouching, exporting, and finally delivering your gallery — hours of time, creativity, skill, and artistic intention go into every image I deliver.
My editing is part of my art. It is part of my style and the experience you are paying me for.
When an AI program is used to dramatically change an image I created, it can alter the original artistic work and misrepresent my work as a photographer. It also raises serious copyright concerns when my photographs are being altered or used to create derivative works without my permission.
I completely understand that AI can be fun and that technology continues to evolve. This isn't about being against technology. It's about respecting the artist who created the original work.
If you love an image enough to want something changed, please come to me first. If there's something you'd like adjusted, cropped, retouched, or creatively changed, let's talk about it. I would much rather work with you to create something you're happy with while still maintaining the integrity of my work.
Your gallery isn't just a collection of pictures.
It is my art, my time, my creativity, and my livelihood. 🤍
