One of the things I love about Florida is that it’s always a good time of year to head down to the beach. Well…maybe not when there’s an active hurricane lol

While I do still love studios for bo***ir (especially because they offer a higher level of privacy) I’m also looking forward to more outdoor bo***ir sessions. There’s just something about connecting mind, body and soul with Mother Nature.

Now that I have a computer cooperating, I am so thankful to have had an opportunity to get a sneak preview of some new presets! Just a slight adjustment to exposure, contrast, and a few other creative tweaks and they are stunning! I typically make my own, but I can’t wait to add these to the rotation! “I will promise you the best is yet to come.”

This song reminded me of this honeymoon session I did awhile back. This couple are also photographers, who connected while each were living on a completely different continent. They were finally married and got to travel all over Florida, and gave me the honor of capturing their love. They were absolutely electric, and one of those kinds of sessions that you never forget.

Everyday something happens that reminds me that time has really been moving! How is it that 2010 was over 15 years ago?

We get so caught up in the monotony of routine, that the days, weeks, months, and years are flying by. We forget to slow down, and take a breather. Even if it’s for one hour in a day, or one day out of a month, set aside time that no matter what, that is YOURS. Do not feel guilty for spending that time doing whatever reignites that spark in YOUR spirit, whatever brings YOU peace, joy, or excitement. Not only are you benefiting, but others that you pour yourself into will benefit, as well.

2026 has been a rough one for most of us, and it’s only March. Let’s commit to making time for the thing(s) that light our souls on fire. If you can’t do one day, start with one hour. If you can’t do one hour, start with 10 minutes, and build it up over time.

Let us have this time to remind us that how we show up for ourselves, is just as important in how we show up for others.

Today I had a telephone conversation that helped to restore a part of my spirit that was crushed..she has very recently experienced a major loss, and my anxiety/depression has been working overtime. After a bit, we got to talking about spirituality and soul connections, and it honestly was such an uplifting moment. Sharing stories and experiences help us to understand one another, and connect with each other. But only if we are welcome to being vulnerable.

So my goal for 2026, is to be present more often with others. Be even more open to human connection.

Stop second guessing yourself and just do it. Do the thing you desire to do, even if it scares you. Especially if it scares you. Do cool s**t and be fully open to the experience otherwise you’ll think back only wishing you had.
