Experience the resplendent Roseate Spoonbill through my captivating watercolor painting. Once endangered due to the use of its feathers in hats and fans, these majestic birds now thrive along the coasts of the Americas, hidden among lush mangroves.

I never imagined that I would end up living a nomadic life. At the beginning of the pandemic, I found myself alone and without a place to live. This was not something I had planned, but my life changed suddenly.
I ended up traveling the world without being tied to a place, a house, or my belongings. I discovered the astonishment, the amazement and the healing power of being in permanent contact with nature. During these past few years, I learned much about myself and found a purpose that gave meaning to this experience. The possibility of capturing what I saw and felt in images and words allowed me to transform this trip into one of the most enriching experiences of my life.
If you love nature as I do, I invite you to live a unique experience by accompanying me on one of my trips. Please follow the link to send you the information, and I will keep you updated.

Bananaquit, Coereba flaveola
These tiny birds live from Mexico to Argentina, feeding mainly on nectar, fruits, and insects. They are usually in pairs or small groups. Here we can see them hidden among the leaves of a bromeliad.

I was visiting the northern highlands of Antioquia in Colombia. It is a place with very few visitors and is more of a transit region for those who go from the Country's south to the Atlantic coast in the north of the Country. As a child, I often traveled with my family through this region. Among my most vivid memories was the fantastic vegetation wrapped in a mist covering the canyon. Hundreds of small waterfalls gushed from the rocks that line the road. The dense forest had gigantic trees, towering palm trees, and the majestic white yarumo trees. Finally, the time came to discover this land's secrets and enter the mysterious world I had imagined as a child…

Trip to the Orinoco Basin in Colombia, Third part
Today we will go through one of the most exciting parts of my trip to Vichada, Colombia because I will finally be sailing up the Orinoco River. Every minute of that dream trip between the gigantic river and the indomitable jungle, under a rain that barely allowed me to open my eyes, was an experience I will always treasure.
I invite you to join me in this wet and soggy adventure, in which I hardly dared to take out my cameras, but at the same time, I had all my senses alert and the emotions of living those unique and magical moments.

My journey through the Orinoco River basin to the tiny town of Garcitas took me through unexpected places. The dirt roads looked more like the beds of a stream filled with the accumulated water from the rain of the former week. Garcitas has 78 registered inhabitants, and it is just a tiny point in the immensity of the plains where the Orinoco travelers find refuge.
