A New Moon, with New Creations 🌑✨ -

The new moon is a blank canvas—an invitation to plant seeds of intention and create something new. In the darkness, ideas take root, waiting to bloom into their fullest expression.

It's so funny I told myself I'm taking a break from painting walls during the summer, and now that summer's almost over, I was revamping my website www.hannahlorra.com , ready to start getting work again. Then received a few emails from projects from last spring that want to move forward this fall. Divine timing!

Y'ALL! I just ordered BOTH of the custom sports bras with my glowing Spirit Flower designs from my shop ☺️ https://hannah-lorra.printify.me/products (I also have tote bags and notebooks available!)

I cannot wait to see how these turn out! I'll be sure to post photos when they arrive. Should I make matching bottoms??

Yoga and fitness are a big part of my life I don't really share about a lot, but I can't wait to wear these to the studio and gym!

I never thought much about putting my artwork on merchandise. I think many artists feel it devalues their original work. To me, I know there are a lot of people who can't afford to purchase an original painting or commission a mural.

Offering merchandise is a simple way I can get my work in the hands of many who would otherwise not be able to enjoy it!

I'm eager to see how the quality of these products hold up, how the prints look on the fabric, etc. So I can be sure I'm sending out quality items. The cost of producing items like these is not minimal, since it is created on demand, which means I really don't make much money from these purchases unless I hike the prices beyond what I feel is reasonable for the items themselves... To me, that's not as important as getting my work out there, at least for now.

Hey, everyone - lots of new faces here! 👋

Feel free to introduce yourself and share what brought you into this circle! I'd love to connect with new friends and fans of my work.

Here's some updates with me:

- I'm actively booking mural clients for both interior (preferred) and exterior murals in the Tampa Bay Area and beyond! I'd love to expand on my portfolio of floral murals, as well as murals for short term rentals across the country. If you have a wall that needs some love, DM me or use this form to start a mural project: www.hannahlorra.com/mural-estimate

- I recently was invited to Mergeculture Summer Invitational that took place at Kress Contemporary in Ybor City, Tampa, FL. My Peony Spirit Flower SOLD opening night! The next time to see this show in person will be Thursday, August 15 at 7pm. You can also view the show virtually here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glhQA18R1RQ&pp=ygUMbWVyZ2VjdWx0dXJl

- I've been dipping my toes into the realm of drop shipping merchandise with my art on it. You can purchase items like tote bags, sports bras and notebooks that have my original art on them here: https://hannah-lorra.printify.me/products

- NEXT UP: I'll be working on creating 3 new original art pieces, another 12x12" flower, a 20x20" moth flower, and a 24x30" fantasy flower scene, as well as client projects for murals and design!

Storms are starting to roll into Florida - so it's sketch time!

My mom died two years ago today on Seminole Blvd…

Ever since, I’ve been trying to extract the lessons after a tragedy. Here's what (I think) I've learned (so far):

1. Facing your own mortality and the mortality of your loved ones can be create positive change to the way you live. The day my mom died, hours before, she was floating in the water talking about how, "You have to live every day like it was your last," happy, content, without a care in the world, surrounded by her family. I like to think she'd just 'figured it out', aced the test that is life, and got called back to Source promptly to be rewarded in bliss for her exemplary work (much at the expense of her family left behind, but, I guess we still have a lot of work left to do here.)

2. Keeping the reality of death close allows you to keep what’s really important and what’s not important in their appropriate perspectives. After my mom passed suddenly, all the little things that seemed to matter, didn't - and all the things that had been previously hard to talk about, flowed freely because the weight of their truth needed to be expressed.

3. The best way to honor your loved ones life is to create a life worth living yourself and to inspire others to do the same. I spent years wondering what my 'purpose' was, my 'why'... two years ago today, I got the kick in the butt to start putting my dreams into action. I chose to take the risk and follow my dreams of being an artist professionally, full time, and haven't looked back. Now, I try and integrate these truths into my work in hopes that others will resonate with these lessons in life from death.

My mom, Delia Manjarrez, loved whenever I painted flowers. I've been focusing on creating these glowing spirit flower paintings in her honor, an idea I had brain-hatched before she passed (which after a lifetime of my painting skulls, she was thrilled about), and am now pursuing full steam. As a muralist and painter, I'd love to get these works in the hands of those who would appreciate them and their message, and would be thrilled to keep pursuing this work on walls in our community to keep my mom's essense alive for years to come through works of art that will inspire others to live in their fullest potential.

Hi, friends!

I know I don't post on FB too often, but I've made some changes since I use FB primarily to network and connect with others for my mural / art business (I mainly post on groups to do this, so I fly incognito a lot of the time here). I'll be a little more active as a result!

I still have my page Hannah Lorra Arts that is public facing (go follow~), but have changed my last name here to match my artist monicker for better clarity across pages and when I post on groups. Don't worry, I'll keep most of the salesy stuff to the FB page, and this one more personal (but not too personal, ha!).

Just wanted to keep everyone updated. Happy Spring!

Nearly done with this 5x7’ canvas for Mobile Mural Project! I wanted to bring attention to some Floridian pollinators, but not your typical day time kind. These Luna Moths flitter around a garden of night blooming flowers in this interactive piece. Stay tuned for the final iteration once I come back from Colombia!
