My last two pregnancies I never took the time to actually think about birth. Time just passes so quickly and for most of it, I'm sore af and just going with the motions of life.
This time, I'm actually taking time to meditate and focus on breathing and relaxing my body. I mean yeah, of course it'll be different when my body is in horrendous pain, but I figure what's the harm and prepping myself as well as I can mentally?
I had a medicated birth with Heidi and it was an overall really bad first experience. I ended up leaving the hospital with nearing 4th degree tears and a baby with a mouthful of thrush.
Second experience with Liam, I decided to do a 180 and have a non-medicated water birth at Birth Center Zephyrhills . It was an incredible experience and I still think of it fondly. It made me appreciate my body even more and appreciate my scars.
For the third and final time? Same as Liam, non-medicated and water birth with in due season again. And I'm even more excited because our midwife with Liam will be the same for baby girl. It just feels so right.
It's just crazy how things happen on their own sometimes.
