Limited edition archival prints and prints on demand. My work is inspired by nature. The universe, earth and notions of time inspire me. Sometimes abstract but usually representational, I often return to the horizon, ocean and trees as metaphors. Working in series, I want to see motion or an evolution of my subject; to depict it in different ways or see it transform. In photography, I try to captu

re movement within a single image, so that the subject appears to move or, conversely, stand still. I am a searcher. I like to look into the surface of what I see and to consider it from different perspectives, attempting to discover something new, or something beyond, in the process. The process of making of art is an internal conversation and process of discovery. When I feel the piece is finished, I want the viewer to enter a journey of discovery of their own – to a place, a meditation or feeling – or to see the world through my eyes.

Labor Day always lands a little differently for people who make things for a living. I'm remembering sitting down on the ground under the shade of a tree in the south of France, photographing what was above and what was below at the same time.

Today's slower pace is a good reminder of the effort behind every finished work, including "Poppies and Trees," today's feature.

Timeless

Today a lot of artists celebrating World Photography Day. It's a celebration of the way artists preserve moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed.

Photography begins with the one simple act of paying attention and then choosing the decisive moment, sometimes in a heartbeat, other times by waiting. Here I was waiting for the clouds as they drifted in from the west: "Clouds in the West".
