So, the funniest part about the India wedding was that we didn't even see the actual wedding ceremony. The auspicious time for the wedding was at 3:30am and the ceremony started at 12:30am. We badly needed some sleep before getting picked up at 6am for a safari!

Very close to the wedding site is the , known for it's population of tigers. We got picked up first in this jeep/pinzqauer/open-top thing, grabbed the front row seats and made our way into the park. Occasionally, the driver would hop out with a tire iron to torque the wheels 😂.
When I pulled out my nice camera, the tour guide asked how many safaris we were signed up for and we said just this one. Turns out, most photographers take multiple safaris in hopes of seeing A tiger. Well, let's just say that our Nemec travel luck was strong that day.

Within 15 minutes of entering the park we got our first glimpse of a tiger off in the distance. We were stoked and happy that we got to see one. And then things went super magical.

We sat in one place with a bunch of other vehicles waiting and then it was on. There was word of a tiger sighting, so our fearless (seriously fearless) driver hammered the pedal and we came to a screeching stop. "Amanda, tiger!" "Where!?" "Right here!"

A tiger was walking down the road, not a care in the world, about 15 feet from us. We drove along side it for a good 10 minutes until she disappeared into the jungle.

We were hanging out, waiting for something else to happen when they got word again of another sighting. We rushed over just in time to a tiger coming out of the brush. She came into the road, right in front of us looked back, growled a little and then laid down right in the road. She was letting her pups know that it was ok that all these vehicles were around and to not be shy. The tour guide said this was only the second time he had seen the pups in 5 months!

It was one of the most incredible experiences we've ever had. Amanda Taussig Nemec and I both got a little emotional because it was just so unreal and so beautiful.

More safari pics coming!

We landed in Delhi at 0015 and the intensity of India was immediate! After clearing customs and getting some cash, (rupees take up a lot of space), we found our driver and were on our way to the hotel for just a few quick hours of sleep.

What we weren't prepared for was actually getting into the hotel. The car got stopped well before the parking lot, a guard check the engine compartment and trunk for bombs. Then they took our our luggage and ran it through x-ray scanners. Then we had to walk through x-ray scanners to get into the hotel. It was a lot.

After a few short hours of sleep, we met up with the other Americans who got invited and the 6 of us shoved into a little car for a 6.5 hour journey to the wedding location.

Memories from the drive: lots of flowering mustard in the fields, extremely smoky and chunky air, women holding children banging on our windows, dodging cows (and goats, people, dogs, scooters, buses, trucks, tractors, pot holes) on the highway (that was the entire trip actually), people squatting on highway guard rails in the middle of nowhere, a gas station overrun with gigantic monkeys, people peeing wherever, political rallies, camels, scared that we were going to run out of fuel and be stranded in the middle of nowhere, reminding ourselves that our driver also did not want to die that day.

We finally made it the wedding destination and were immediately adopted by everyone. Seriously, the love, generosity and curiosity was overwhelming.

The wedding? Wow. Grand and luxurious doesn't cover it. Each celebration was so amazing and fun. and I just dove in and tried to experience as many things as we could. If you didn't catch it while we were there, check out

Besides the abundance of incredible food, my favorite part was getting to wear a turban! I actually told Amanda prior to going that I hoped I would get to wear a turban. On the second evening, we got a call to the room and the coordinator said that the turban wrapping was starting. I couldn't believe. I rushed over and got a turban! I still have the fabric and it's about 12 feet long lol!

The wedding was just an incredible experience. Congrats to the new couple!

India 2023 was just a crazy experience in so many ways. I wouldn't call it a vacation, because it involved a lot of work and stress and travel (we had 10 different flights on the trip!) mostly by Amanda Taussig Nemec. But we still had a ton of fun and learned a lot.

Our trip started with a quick overnight in New York. After a 90 minute taxi from JFK to Manhattan (which was like 20 miles), we met up with a friend and had amazing Italian food and then saw the incredible Joe Lovano at the famour Village Vanguard. I studied this guy's palying as an aspiring saxophonist during college.

Our flight from JFK to Munich didn't leave until 5pm the next night, so we had an entire morning to go see some things. We chose to see the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. It was incredible and also very emotional for both of us. We have a pretty good list of crazy things we've experienced on travel and the list always starts with flying out of JFK on 9/10, seriously, we saw the towers the day before they came down. It was only a few short years after that I became a firefighter and started doing fund raising for a really amazing foundation and running 5ks inspired by Stephen Siller, . Then we took a crazy elevator ride up the One World Tower. We ended NYC by slamming 4 huge slices of pizza (SLICE!) and a beer before heading to the airport.

Literally as we were scanning our tickets to get on our flight to Munich (then Munich to Delhi), our tickets got flagged and we had to go to the counter. Our flight from Munich to Delhi had been cancelled. It's the first time ever that we both said "whatever, let's go and we'll figure it out". I'm so proud of Amanda for this.

As soon as we got to Munich, Lufthansa sent us to Zurich, Switzerland. You know you've been to Europe too many time when you can't remember if you've actually been to a place. Turns out, we had been to Zurich, but it was still a fun experience.

Unfortunately (and fortunately), we were a day late getting to India which meant that we missed seeing the Taj Mahal. But, that's how the dice rolled and we rolled with them.

It has been a crazy week. Surgery on Monday was just a very stressful, intense and painful experience. And Amanda Taussig Nemec was so cool and caring through all of it. I'm so grateful that Amanda takes care of me. I wouldn't have made it through this without her.

Since I'm convalescing for a few weeks, I have a whole bunch of time to start going through several thousands pics from India.

Just wanted to share this beautiful sunrise from our tiger safari.

What's the most important space in a home? It's got to be the kitchen!

We spend so much time here-cooking (and cleaning), eating, laughing, prepping for the day, dinner, laughing and being with our loved ones.

One of the great parts about doing Real Estate Photography is that we get to see so many beautiful and inspiring kitchens! Check out a few of the amazing kitchens we've had the opportunity to photograph.

We had a little bit of work to do in Flagstaff this past weekend. On our way home, we decided to drive through and came down the 89A, one of the best drives in Arizona. All the recent snowfall made for some insane views in .

There was actually parking available, so we decided to do a little hike on our favorite trail, !

When we’re not shooting real estate, you can find us in the incredible forests of Northern Arizona. We might be in the tent trailer or a cabin, it doesn’t matter to us, as long as we’re surround by trees and animals!

Started this new year with a beautifully remodeled home in Tempe. If I had this home I would probably just live in that kitchen…or the cedar-lined master closet!

I have the house ALL to myself for a few minutes this afternoon, which is unheard of and amazing.

Being such a real estate nerd, I am so excited to be processing the beautiful photos we just received back on our new Gilbert listing that is going live next week in Seville Golf and Country Club.

My umbrella drink will have to wait 😜

It's such a great house!
