The kind of portraits that deserve a spot on the wall—and a magazine spread.

There is something so special about capturing this chapter of life. By using off-camera lighting, we’re able to pull out all the incredible detail in Amalia’s dress and the stunning architecture, creating a look that’s both modern and timeless.

I’ve been wanting to try a new, dynamic approach to my outdoor sessions, and I’m thrilled with the results from Amalia’s recent shoot!

By moving away from standard natural light and using professional off-camera lighting, we’re able to create these high-end, "stand-out" portraits that look more like a magazine spread than a typical school photo.

One of my favorite things about photography is realizing an idea that has lived in your head for YEARS.

This weekend, that idea was finally a reality.
I’ve wanted to create a powder/flour shoot forever, but never really had the right setup. After seeing how well my garage studio worked for smoke and fire sessions, I decided it was time to try something new… and honestly, I’m hooked.

Addie absolutely brought this shoot to life. Her background in dance made every movement look powerful and intentional, and her energy made the entire session FUN from start to finish.

These kinds of sessions remind me that photography doesn’t always have to be safe or clean or perfectly controlled. Sometimes the mess is part of the magic.

This is just the beginning for this style of work and I’m excited to keep creating more dynamic portraits and athlete/dance inspired sessions.
