I have been slacking on keeping up with a BLOG. I have gone through my photoshoots over the last few months and started to catch up. Here is a BLOG about my color-powder shoot with Addi!

Some photoshoots start with a client inquiry. This one started with an idea that had been sitting in the back of my mind for years. For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to create a color powder photoshoot. Every time I saw images of dancers exploding through clouds of vibrant color, I thought th...

Here is a blog I wrote this morning about my amazing photoshoot with Hailey & Faith earlier this week!

Hailey and Faith's creative cheer photoshoot in downtown Denver featured dramatic city backdrops, rooftop portraits, and an exciting water splash finale. See how we created unique cheer portraits that stand out from the ordinary.

As the sun disappeared, the whole vibe of the session changed.

The bright city streets gave way to dramatic shadows, bold contrast, and some of my favorite portraits from the entire evening. Faith looked completely at home in front of the camera and embraced every creative idea we came up with.

What I love most about sessions like this is that they become more than just taking photos. They become an adventure. We explored Downtown Denver, made a mess with water, laughed the entire evening, and kept creating until there simply wasn’t enough light left to continue.

Faith, thank you for being fearless, for trusting my ideas, and for making this shoot so much fun. Keep believing in yourself and chasing big dreams—I know you’re going to accomplish incredible things.

This is what happens when you bring two athletes who are up for anything.

From splashing through water in the middle of Downtown Denver to chasing the last bit of evening light, Hailey and Faith were all in from the very beginning. They weren’t looking for the same cheer photos everyone else has—they wanted something different, and that’s exactly what we set out to create.

One of my favorite moments came when we made our way to the top of a seven-story parking garage, and I suggested taking a few portraits right up to the edge. Faith didn’t hesitate for a second. She confidently stepped into position... and Hailey followed right behind her. Those images ended up becoming some of my favorites from the entire evening.

A huge thank you to Rachel and Kayla for trusting me with your vision and giving me the creative freedom to try something outside the box. Sessions like this are why I love what I do.
We had so much fun creating together that I completely lost track of time. We just kept shooting until it was too dark to make another photo—and honestly, I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Some photos just have a different kind of energy.

When Rachel and Kayla reached out about photographing Hailey and Faith, they had one request: let’s create something different. Instead of the typical cheer photos, we headed into Downtown Denver to create something that felt bold, modern, and full of personality.

Hailey absolutely crushed it. She embraced every idea, trusted the process, and helped bring this vision to life. By the end of the evening, we were creating some dramatic, high-contrast portraits that quickly became some of my favorites from the session.

The best part? We were having so much fun that I completely forgot to watch the time. We just kept creating until it was simply too dark to make another photo.

Hailey, thank you for trusting me and bringing such an awesome attitude to the session. Keep working hard, keep chasing your goals, and I can’t wait to see what this season has in store for you!

One thing Alexis told me before the wedding was that she didn’t want the day to feel like one long photo shoot. She wanted the moments to be real.

So after a few family portraits and some photos of just the two of them, I spent the rest of the day documenting everything as it naturally unfolded—and honestly, that’s my favorite way to photograph a wedding.

Real moments. Real emotions. A story they’ll be able to relive for years to come.

The little details deserve their moment too.

From the flowers and rings to the invitations and dress, every piece helped tell the story of Alexis & Andrew’s beautiful wedding day at The Pines at Edgewood.

Alexis & Andrew 🤍

These were some of the few moments we stepped away from the celebration to capture just the two of them, and I’m so glad we did.

Congratulations to an incredible couple, and thank you for trusting me to be part of such a special day. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness!

One of my favorite things about photography is getting to celebrate people exactly where they are in life.

Maddie is entering her senior year at UofA and it was so much fun hearing about everything she’s working on. She’s already serving as a Research Assistant and is preparing to begin work on her thesis—pretty impressive stuff.

It’s easy to focus on accomplishments like grades, titles, or awards, but what stood out to me most was seeing the confidence, maturity, and passion she brings to everything she’s doing.

Maddie, you’re doing amazing things, and I have no doubt your senior year is going to be a great one. Thanks for letting me capture this season of life for you.

This session meant a lot to me.

Brandie and I have been friends since 7th grade. Through middle school, high school, adulthood, careers, kids, and everything in between, she’s been one of the people who has consistently supported me and my photography business.

In fact, her family was one of the very first families I ever photographed.

Taking photos of Carson and Maddie felt a little surreal. The kids I remember photographing years ago are now young adults chasing their own dreams, and somehow all of us have gotten a little older along the way.

I’m incredibly thankful for friendships that stand the test of time and for people who continue to trust me with their family’s memories year after year.
