Standing before the majestic Arenal Volcano after one of the most humbling and rewarding hikes đŸŒŋ

The Arenal Volcano hike isn’t just a walk—it’s an immersive journey through dense tropical rainforest, rugged lava fields, and ever-changing weather. The trail can be moderate to challenging, depending on the route you take, with uneven terrain, rocky paths, and steady inclines that truly test your endurance.

What makes it even more magical (and intense) is the unpredictability of the rainforest. One moment you’re surrounded by sunshine filtering through lush green canopies, and the next, you’re hiking under a sudden tropical rain shower đŸŒ§ī¸. But rain or shine—you keep going.

Along the way, you hear the sounds of nature all around you—birds calling, insects humming, leaves rustling—reminding you how alive this place is. The air feels thick, warm, and grounding.

And then comes the momentâ€Ļ

After pushing through the trail, you finally arrive at a viewpoint where the forest opens up—and there it is. Towering, powerful, and completely still—the Arenal Volcano. You feel small, yet deeply connected at the same time.

It’s not just about reaching the volcano. It’s about the journey through the rainforest, the unpredictability, the persistence, and the quiet realization that some of the most beautiful moments come after the hardest climbs.

Today, I’m sharing my recitation of one of the most beloved Bengali love poems—‘Bonolota Sen’ by Jibanananda Das. Even if you don’t understand the language, I hope the feeling comes through: longing, tenderness, and fleeting moments of love.

For me, poetry has always been a way to feel deeply alive. I discover love in every word I recite, finding life, emotion, and beauty in its rhythms and imagery. Sharing this poem is my way of celebrating the power of words, the magic of recitation, and the love that exists beyond people—love that lives in art itself.

I was swinging toward the sea,
and let the wind untangle my thoughts.
Bare feet in warm sand,
sun on my skin..
this is how life whispers,
stay a little longer.
