As for now, Flume Leather Company will be closing its (online) doors on March 19th, on its 3rd year anniversary. This means our online store will be officially off-line on March 18th at midnight, and will no longer accept custom orders, purchase orders, or be posting to this profile consistently. New opportunities brought me to the position where I’m unable to give the time and effort this company deserves.
I couldn’t have done most of this without a huge amount of friends and support to rally around me. So here’s a huge shout out for all of their help and support!!!
thanks so much for being my first customer and emailing me directly after to let me know my checkout page still had errors 🙃
Thank you and for opening up before construction to host the launch of the brand. Also, thanks for hosting a cool event at Grovemade a while back. That was a first date spot for me and my now wife, and we love sipping your coffee/beer and remembering that day.
Thanks for starting the fire that lead to this creative exploration. I met all the encouraging designers, instructors and local creatives that were necessary to make this possible. Also shout out to for enabling me to sell my designs for the very first time.
Thanks for inviting me over to your place that one time with and to make stuff in your living room. I haven’t quit making stuff since that sunny afternoon. You guys rock
Thanks , , , , , and so many other retail spaces that opened their doors to host pop-up shops. These one-day shops were KEY in building Flume as a company.
Thanks to , , and Cody of , and all the photographers that were able to capture all these details. And huge shout out to all the models , , , , , and that made this stuff look so good!
So stoked to have worked with so many other creators like studio to create a product by and for makers. So fun to work with and feature artists and illustrators , , and . Wow you are talented and I’m so thankful for the chance to work with you fine folks.
Thanks so much to my parents, who let me mess up the garage while making stuff my entire childhood, and even let me start this business out of their garage when I came back to live when them in college. Sorry for the mess …
Thanks to my sister Kelsey who let me borrow her Nikon camera in 2011, I promise I’ll give it back on of these years, but look at the great photos we got with that thing!
Thank you to my dear friend, and wildly successful designer, maker, model, and overall human . Your personality, friendship, and assistance is largely why this company had any success. Your design work helping with lettering, campaign design, and directing these shoots is just a fraction of your untapped potential as a Portland creative, and I am so thankful your path brought us to work together. You are such a talented person and I am so grateful for your help. Let’s keep making stuff!
And lastly, thank you to my wife for ordering the first purse I ever made. I’m convinced that if it wasn’t for this little company, you would have had no excuse to hit me up after working together at Starbucks, and we may have never gotten together enough times to start to build a life together. Who knew what a purse could do! I love you Kelli! Thanks for believing in me and supporting me through this crazy venture, and for sticking around even though I had to sell wallets in order to pay for our dates.
Well that’s it for now
Love you folks,
Let’s stay in touch
