I was born in Tacoma Washing and raised as a military brat. In 1987 I married the best and most beautiful woman in the world. Also, that same year I joined the Air Force and followed that path for 24 years. I have two beautiful daughters, and two grandchildren. I have been an amateur / hobbyist photographer for over 35 years. My first camera was a birthday present from my beautiful wife and her fa

mily. Since getting that I have ventured in and out of various formats of cameras, from simple point and shoot 35mm to point and shoot digital and then to digital SLR. Recently I decided to try medium format cameras but due to the cost of them I have picked up several medium format antique folding bellows cameras to refurbish, test and possibly resell. As stated, I am an amateur / hobbyist photographer. But I am asking you to follow my journey and possibly help me better my skills by asking me for a portrait photo session or by requesting full size digital or prints of some of my work that I post here. If you ask me for a portrait session, all I will charge will be $40 (covers my fuel cost) plus cost of materials. Materials will include the price of 35mm film, 120 film, digital storage medium (unless you provide one yourself). The session could take several hours because I prefer to try to have as natural as a setting as possible without you and your family / friends posing for the pictures. The session will take place at location of your choice or at local parks / Wildlife refuges. What you get out of this is: Digital scans of the negatives from the film, the negatives from the film, all copies of the digital pictures and the chance to meet an “Old and Grey” guy that always wears a Cowboy and boots. The photos will be edited for best light and color. It will be up to you which ones to print out and to choose the printing location of your choice (Walgreens or an on-line place). I will ask you to sign a release for me to be able to publish your pictures on my page. I will also do Pets, Senior, Wedding, and engagement photos for same cost. Cost of any of my pictures that you would like copies of is $5.00. I will email you the digital copy for you to have printed at location of your choice. Most of my digital files can be printed up to 11x16 before the quality is affected unless you send to a good Photo print shop that can edit the grain out.

First refurbished antique camera pictures came back. What I learned with the camera - knowing distance is very important since you have to manually adjust the focus ring. I just got the negatives back from the lab and scanned them into the computer. What I learned from that - With dogs around use air blaster to clean the negatives. I did some very minor adjustments to the lighting of the picture. But I think they turned out good. Camera used was a 1940 -1950 Zeiss Ikon 520/16 with Nova lens.
